Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

Our 2019 Syrah is bold and distinct. This wine delivers aromas and flavors of zesty white pepper and rich dark fruit. Its balanced acidity and lush tannins make this the ideal accompaniment to tri-tip, bison burgers, or tomato-based sauces such as Bolognese.

The 2019 Middleridge Ranch Pinot Noir seduces with a perfumed nose of raspberries, Bing cherry, vanilla and maple, followed by mouthwatering, juicy flavors of cherry pastry and cola on the mid palate and toasted graham cracker lingering on the finish. 

Vibrant aromas of plum, cedar, cola, cocoa, sandalwood spice and leather awaken the senses, while full‐bodied flavors of black cherry, licorice and cedar generously fill the palate. Round tannins and notes of vanilla with toasty caramel add to the lingering, elegant mouthfeel.

Our 2021 Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby color. Nuanced aromas of dark cherries, spice and mulberry set the tone. Juicy black cherry coats the palate with notes of vanilla and spice highlighted in the background. The use of new French oak barrels in this wine supports the fruit and adds a touch of baking spice aroma where the contribution of older French oak barrels allows the tannins to develop gracefully over time. The finish is silky and long, which is a characteristic of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

This is a medium-bodied Merlot, displaying aromas of black cherry, cola, rubbed sage, English Toffee and vanilla. On the palate, plum galette and leather are complemented by toasty clove imparted by its time in barrel.

Grapes for this wine come from Knights Valley rocky and alluvial soils where a warm and extended growing season produces exceptional, bold cabernet sauvignon fruit. Blackberry and blueberry aromas with bark and dried shitake mushroom, following through to a full body with round, juicy tannins that are soft and ripe. A worthy illustration of all that Knights Valley has to offer.

Our 2021 Estate Pinot Noir is silky with a balanced acidity and soft tannins. Aromas include wild strawberry, black cherry, cranberry-spice, and forest floor. Ripe cherry and pomegranate dominate the flavors, along with savory hints of mushroom, clove and baking spices.

“Luke, I am your father”: Welcome to the dark side of pinot noir. This rich, deep pinot noir has aromatics of of forest floor, dark figs and cherry pie with soft vanilla bean that lead to a juicy entry with layered flavors of Christmas spice, green tea, cola and a hint of caramel candy. A deep, dark pinot noir with intense tannins and lush flavors that finishes with a lingering whisper.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. The 2019 Merus opens with deep aromas of cassis and blackberry, with layers of vanilla bean, cedar, graphite and a subtle minerality. Full bodied on the palate with plush, velvety tannins and signature flavors of saturated black fruits. A fine grain oak texture lingers on the smooth finish. A wine of great structure and power, it will continue to develop further complexity with bottle age and show best over the next 15-25 years.

The 2021 Rancho Santa Rosa Pinot Noir embodies the essence of the cool climate St. Rita Hills. This wine opens with aromas of ripe fruit, dark boysenberry, and ribbons of red and black fruit. On the palate this Pinot Noir offers classic notes of black pepper, boysenberry, plum, and dark cherry with a soft finish of dark cacao and pomegranate. The wine has moderate tannins, balanced acidity, and lush fruit on the finish.

Aromas of crushed wild blueberries and vanilla, boysenberry, and herbal nuances of tobacco and bay leaf. Full-bodied with a focused core of fresh berries and tart cherries intertwined with rich dark cherry liquor flavors. Finely textured powdery tannins and the signature Stags Leap District graphite and mineral notes are well-knit with the fruit and lightly toasted oak, with hints of black pepper and cedar on the finish.

PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins.

Take a deep breath and dive in. Sea Floored opens with aromas of dark, earthy pomegranate wtih nuances of raspberry jam and classic Sta. Rita Hills black pepper. The wine is a bold pinot noir with dominate flavors of dark cherry cola, black plum and boysenberry with a silky tannin finish from French oak barrels and accents of freshly ground black pepper.

This full‐bodied wine is elegant and rich with aromas of cassis, blueberries, pomegranate, mocha and sweet brown sugar that lead to flavors of plum, blackberries and vanilla, finishing with a toasty cardamom spice.

Our 2019 Gravel Bed Red is a harmonious expression of gravely vineyard sites from a moderately warm vintage. Its deep ruby red color leads into forward aromas of baked plum, earth, cassis and incense. Rich flavors of date, fig and sandalwood lead to a milk chocolate finish over fine tannins.

The 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of four of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness.

Elegant and inviting, the 2017 Cinq Cepages opens with beautiful aromas of fresh raspberry, red and black currant, sweet floral fruit, and notes of lavender. The lush mouthfeel is filled with supple fruit, warm milk chocolate, toasted chestnut and fall spice flavors. The vintage of Cinq Cepages showcases incredibly refined and smooth tannins which leave a silky finish. The wine is rewarding now and ready for enjoyment but will also evolve over time with proper cellaring.

The 2022 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby hue in the glass. Pleasant aromas of ripe pomegranate, black cherry and damp earth with delicate hints of cinnamon and baking spices. The palate exudes juicy, rich red fruit
and black tea flavors complemented by elegant, fine-grained tannins and a rich yet focused palate. The finish is bright with perfectly balanced acidity. True to the Willamette Valley, this is a chef’s wine that will pair well with a variety of dishes.

PreVail West Face is a delicious, full-bodied wine with lush aromas and flavors of blackberry, plums, bacon, dried blueberries, cassis, milk chocolate, vanilla, and cedar with a touch of leather on the finish. Fleshy and full, this wine has exquisite depth and lingering, firm tannins providing textural proof of this wine’s age ability.

Our 2021 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of cherry liqueur, plum, strawberry compote and fresh leather. The palate offers cherry kirsch, strawberry preserve, and soft tannins with balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant with notes of warm spice and carob.

Aromas of dried cherries, rose and magnolia are interwoven with light vanilla coffee and hints of pine needle and resin. Juicy concentrated strawberry and cherry compote flavors on the front palate are balanced by a weightier yet elegant mid-palate. Hints of vanilla bean pannacotta leads to a lingering, mouthwatering finish with bright coastal acidity.

Our 2017 Peral Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of black currant, anise and toasted oak. On the palate, bold tannins are balanced with flavors of blackberry and dark cherry with savory notes of tobacco and graphite. This is a well-structured and full bodied wine that beautifully displays the quality of our Rutherford Estate terroir. While approachable now, this wine will age beautifully and gain complexity over the next 10-15 years.

The 2017 Cherryblock is a wine of great complexity, intricacy and sophistication. In the glass, the wine is deep purple with ruby highlights, and others intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. Waves of rich black fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cedar and tobacco. The finish is framed by full soft tannins and lingering notes of herbs and spice.

The 2021 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby hue in the glass. Pleasant aromas of black cherry, red raspberry and hints of baking spice and rich dark chocolate. The palate exudes bright red fruit flavors of cherry and raspberries which are complemented by generous, fine-grained tannins and a rich yet focused palate. The finish is bright with perfectly balanced acidity.

An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting with aromas of fresh, muddled strawberry, bright cherry and pomegranate with hints of forest floor, toasted caramel and five-spice. The flavors combine to create a fruit-driven front palate and very subtle oak influence. The finish leaves you wanting more, with nice acid and flavors of strawberry sauce, pomegranate and spice to create great weight for an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.

Complex, velvety and bold, the 2016 Cherryblock delivers a great deal of intricacy and sophistication. The wine fills the glass with deep purple and ruby highlights, followed by intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. Waves of rich black fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cedar and tobacco. The tannins from this vintage were more intense than usual due to the smaller crop size, leading us to blend in a little more Merlot than is typical. The finish is framed by full soft tannins and lingering notes of herbs and spice.

Deep in color, it reveals a complex nose of black currant, plum, anise and violet. Refined and polished tannins provide amazing structure and depth that complement commanding flavors of dark plum, black currant, blackberry, savory leather and dark chocolate. An incredible display of the rich and concentrated flavors that come from our estate vineyards, this wine glides across the palate for a long, decadent finish. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

This classically styled Bordeaux blend shows off aromas and flavors of dark fruits, including blackberries and mountain raspberries accented with cassis, black olive, tobacco leaf and black tea. Hints of oak spice and vanilla frame a nicely balanced, well-structured wine that is rich and inviting, round in mouthfeel with a notably lingering finish.
