Our 2019 Gravel Bed Red is a harmonious expression of gravely vineyard sites from a moderately warm vintage. Its deep ruby red color leads into forward aromas of baked plum, earth, cassis and incense. Rich flavors of date, fig and sandalwood lead to a milk chocolate finish over fine tannins.

This wine opens with leather, cedar, plum jam, molasses, and mocha on the nose. The palate is juicy upfront with warm marionberry syrup and full, velvety tannins. Notes of butterscotch linger on the long, decadent finish.

Upon opening, dark fruit aromas of black cherry and blueberry are intertwined with notes of forest floor and vanilla spice. Deep, layered flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and black tea are present on the palate. Soft tannins and a hints of mocha linger on the finish.

The 2021 Trésor opens with aromas of black currant, lardon, anise, and hints of burnt sugar and lavender. The palate is round, with upfront flavors of Santa Rosa plum and cedar, supported by evolving texture that leads to a strong, lingering finish.

This is a well-structured wine that beautifully displays the quality of our Rutherford Estate terroir. While approachable now, this wine will age beautifully and gain complexity over the next 10-15 years.

Our 2021 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of cherry liqueur, plum, strawberry compote and fresh leather. The palate offers cherry kirsch, strawberry preserve, and soft tannins with balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant with notes of warm spice and carob.

The 2022 Siena opens with aromas of raspberry, cola, caramel, mocha, and chocolate ganache. On the palate, big, juicy plum flavors are accented by baking spice and a hint of butterscotch.

PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins. 

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. Cabernet Sauvignon has a reputation for its layers of dark, rich flavors and our 2021 is an excellent representation of that. This wine opens with aromas of leather, fig, plum jam, vanilla bean, mocha and notes of white pepper. The palate is full-bodied with abundant dried black cherry flavors and toasty brown spices on the long, elegant finish.

Our Knight’s Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas or rich plum, cassis, dark toffee, nutmeg and cedar. Bold, full and round, the palate bursts with black cherry cobbler, cocoa nibs, fresh leather with a hint of anise. This wine is refined and age-worthy.

This inky deliciousness Rickshaw Cabernet Sauvignon is a food friendly, Tuesday-night-in-front-of-the-tv kinda Cab. Unapologetically bold, undeniably California, and complex enough that you might even pause Netflix to talk about it. The 2021 vintage is fruity and inviting; with tasty flavors of raspberry, cherry pie, and hints of vanilla and cedar to add just enough intricacy. Full-bodied, structured, and a whole lot of texture on the palate. A long, toasted oak finish lingers with notes of red fruit and spice.

Sweet and savory aromatics suggest fresh raspberry, thyme and a hint of meatiness. The tannin, acidity and flavors are nicely knit. Savory herbs and sweet berries are met with a clean mineral finish.

The 2017 Cherryblock is a wine of great complexity, intricacy and sophistication. In the glass, the wine is deep purple with ruby highlights, and others intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. Waves of rich black fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cedar and tobacco. The finish is framed by full soft tannins and lingering notes of herbs and spice.

This rich, deep pinot noir has aromatics of of forest floor, dark figs and cherry pie with soft vanilla bean that lead to a juicy entry with layered flavors of Christmas spice, green tea, cola and a hint of caramel candy. A deep, dark pinot noir with intense tannins and lush flavors that finishes with a lingering whisper.

Our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal. The nose exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, caramelized sugar, barrel spice and a hint of tobacco leaf. These aromas carry through to the palate, with additional notes of dusty cocoa, vanilla, and dried sage. Firm yet smooth tannins are present on the lingering finish.

Floral and sweet fruit aromas, hints of clove and bittersweet chocolate. Full bodied, with good tannin structure and flavors of muddled black cherry, anise and stone fruit.
