Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with layers of vanilla, spice, dark fruit and black tea. Dense and supple, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

This wine opens with delicious aromas of cocoa, plum, blueberry pie and cola, complemented by juicy flavors of pomegranate, black cherry and caramel. This naturally-balanced wine has a velvety texture and a dazzing, layered complexity with lingering notes of rose petal on the finish.

The 2021 Trésor opens with aromas of black currant, lardon, anise, and hints of burnt sugar and lavender. The palate is round, with upfront flavors of Santa Rosa plum and cedar, supported by evolving texture that leads to a strong, lingering finish.

This wine is a treat for the senses. An alluring bouquet of spiced pear, dried apricot, toasted marshmallow, and caramel popcorn give a grand introduction to the intricate palate. Rich, yet delicate layers of apricot, lemon chiffon, and vanilla buttercream are lifted by perfectly balanced acidity, making every sip as enjoyable as the first.

This is a medium-bodied Merlot, displaying aromas of black cherry, cola, rubbed sage, English Toffee and vanilla. On the palate, plum galette and leather are complemented by toasty clove imparted by its time in barrel.

This Chardonnay delights with aromas of citrus, pear, vanilla, graham cracker and buttercream perfectly balanced by vibrant, rich flavors of baked apple, apricot, cinnamon and hazelnut. Lingering creamy and toasted oak notes round out the finish.

Our 2021 Estate Pinot Noir is silky with a balanced acidity and soft tannins. Aromas include wild strawberry, black cherry, cranberry-spice, and forest floor. Ripe cherry and pomegranate dominate the flavors, along with savory hints of mushroom, clove and baking spices.

Our 2019 Gravel Bed Red is a harmonious expression of gravely vineyard sites from a moderately warm vintage. Its deep ruby red color leads into forward aromas of baked plum, earth, cassis and incense. Rich flavors of date, fig and sandalwood lead to a milk chocolate finish over fine tannins.

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

This wine opens with enticing aromas of Meyer lemon, grapefruit, guava, and mango. The palate offers lush layers of lemon cream, peach, and papaya, elevated by notes of crisp lime zest. The cool, stainless steel tank fermentation delivers a beautiful freshness to the wine, while the subtle oak character from neutral French oak barrels adds body, complexity and depth.

This quintessential cool climate pinot noir has lush aromatics of strawberry jam and fudge covered bacon with hints of baked cookie crumbs, sassafras and mocha. Rich flavors of pomegranate, bright cherries and cola are balanced by a hint of caramelized sugar and vanilla. This big, muscular wine is bright yet full-bodied with structured tannins that is beautiful now but will only get better with time.

The 2019 Mendocino County Rosé is a lovely shade of pale salmon with aromas of rose water, salinity and fresh-picked strawberries. Bright flavors of juicy cantaloupe and honeydew melon are highlighted by a touch of Meyer lemon. Racy acidity and elegance are balanced perfectly in this dry, crisp Rosé.

This wine entices with aromas of baked apple, caramel popcorn, apricot, quince, toasted marshmallow, and buttercream. Elegant, upfront ripe flavors of Bartlett pear, peach cobbler, graham cracker, butterscotch follow with baking spice on the smooth finish.

The 2018 Winemaker Series Brut Sparkling is a beautiful representation of our Russian River Valley vineyards. This sparkling opens with aromas of brioche and apple pie, leading to flavors of toasted almond, notes of oyster shell and lemon pith to round out the palate. Fine bubbles and flow from the start through the creamy finish.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. Our 2021 Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby color. Nuanced aromas of dark cherries, spice and mulberry set the tone. Juicy black cherry coats the palate with notes of vanilla and spice highlighted in the background. The use of new French oak barrels in this wine supports the fruit and adds a touch of baking spice aroma where the contribution of older French oak barrels allows the tannins to develop gracefully over time. The finish is silky and long, which is a characteristic of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

An enticing nose of of spice, black tea and candied bacon covered in fudge. On the palate it is a mouthwatering mélange of blue fruit flavors backed by bright balanced acid, rustic leather tannins and meaty tones giving way to a smooth, milk chocolate finish.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc opens with a fragrant nose of lemon-lime, lychee, kiwi, and cantalope with a touch of honeysuckle. Bright acidity and juicy flavors of lychee and mango lead to a smooth mineral finish for this refreshing wine.

The 2022 Sonoma County Rosé is a lovely shade of pale salmon with aromas of floral, tutti-frutti bubblegum and fresh watermelon. Bright, mouthwatering flavors of juicy watermelon are highlighted by hints of minerality and a soft yet crisp finish. Racy acidity and elegance are balanced perfectly in this dry, crisp rosé.

Our 2021 Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of cherry liqueur, plum, strawberry compote and fresh leather. The palate offers cherry kirsch, strawberry preserve, and soft tannins with balanced acidity. The finish is long and elegant with notes of warm spice and carob.

The 2021 Founder's Block reflects 100% native yeast and is unfined and unfiltered. This “hands off” approach allows the grapes and vines to shine. After 15 months in 92% new French oak, the Founder’s Block Chardonnay exhibits a creamy richness, marked by ripe pear, baked apple, and baking spices, producing rounded layers and texture.

This wine opens with inviting aromas of cherry, plum, black tea and a hint of tobacco. Rich, succulent fruit flavors are supported by soft tannin and balanced acidity. The wine finishes long with rich, toasty oak lingering on the palate.

The 2021 Rancho Santa Rosa Pinot Noir embodies the essence of the cool climate St. Rita Hills. This wine opens with aromas of ripe fruit, dark boysenberry, and ribbons of red and black fruit. On the palate this Pinot Noir offers classic notes of black pepper, boysenberry, plum, and dark cherry with a soft finish of dark cacao and pomegranate. The wine has moderate tannins, balanced acidity, and lush fruit on the finish.

The 2022 vintage was another warm and fast-paced year. Warm temperatures continued into summer setting the stage for full ripening, fresh acidity and beautifully balanced fruit. Our 2022 Estate Chardonnay is creamy, rich and elegant with complex aromas and flavors of baked bread, pear, hazelnut, and toasted marshmallow. This is an age-worthy wine of exceptional quality known for its full mouthfeel and exquisite long finish.

PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins. 

Our 2019 Syrah is bold and distinct. This wine delivers aromas and flavors of zesty white pepper and rich dark fruit. Its balanced acidity and lush tannins make this the ideal accompaniment to tri-tip, bison burgers, or tomato-based sauces such as Bolognese.

PreVail West Face is a delicious, full-bodied wine with lush aromas and flavors of blackberry, plums, bacon, dried blueberries, cassis, milk chocolate, vanilla, and cedar with a touch of leather on the finish. Cabernet Sauvignon has a reputation for its layers of dark, rich flavors and our 2021 is an excellent representation of that. This wine opens with aromas of leather, fig, plum jam, vanilla bean, mocha and notes of white pepper. The palate is full-bodied with abundant dried black cherry flavors and toasty brown spices on the long, elegant finish.

Aromas of crushed wild blueberries and vanilla, boysenberry, and herbal nuances of tobacco and bay leaf. Full-bodied with a focused core of fresh berries and tart cherries intertwined with rich dark cherry liquor flavors. Finely textured powdery tannins and the signature Stags Leap District graphite and mineral notes are well-knit with the fruit and lightly toasted oak, with hints of black pepper and cedar on the finish.

PreVail Lookout Tree is a bold, yet refined wine. An enticing bouquet of maple, spiced plum, violet and tobacco lead to layered flavors of cassis, raspberry, licorice and leather. The complex profile and forward tannin structure will allow this wine to evolve and age beautifully for many years.

Our 2021 Grüner Veltliner shines throughout with complex minerality and notes of kiwi fruit and white peach. Aromatics of bright lemon-lime zest fill the glass. This wine is light and refreshing, making it a perfect complement for herbaceous meals, such as English pea shoot or yellow beet salad.

The 2022 Siena opens with aromas of raspberry, cola, caramel, mocha, and chocolate ganache. On the palate, big, juicy plum flavors are accented by baking spice and a hint of butterscotch.

An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting with aromas of fresh, muddled strawberry, bright cherry and pomegranate with hints of forest floor, toasted caramel and five-spice. The flavors combine to create a fruit-driven front palate and very subtle oak influence. The finish leaves you wanting more, with nice acid and flavors of strawberry sauce, pomegranate and spice to create great weight for an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.
