The fruit for this wine comes from our best block of Sauvignon Blanc on the estate. The musqué clone makes this a highly aromatic wine, showcasing a beautiful tropical bouquet upon opening. The 2024 Estate Chardonnay opens with notes of banana, vanilla, lemongrass, honey, Meyer lemon, and plenty of wet slate and river rock minerality. Flavors on the palate mirror the nose, adding stone fruits and toasty oak characters to round out this medium-bodied delightful Chardonnay.

The 2024 growing season kicked off with cool spring temperatures. A few summer heat spells nudged the ripening along, while cool nights helped preserve acidity and freshness in the fruit. Harvest held a fast pace and delivered beautiful fruit quality.

The fruit for this wine was harvested and sorted in the vineyard prior to arrival at the winery. The clusters were then carefully destemmed to keep the berries intact. Additional hand sorting removed any jack stems before the fruit was transferred to small, stainless steel, open-top fermenters. The juice and skins were cold-soaked for 4 days prior to fermentation and then gently punched down for several days. After primary fermentation was complete, the new wine was drained and the skins were gently pressed. This wine is 100% stainless steel fermented and aged.
