The 2023 Mt. George Cabernet Franc presents an aromatic profile defined by bright, elevated red berries and a refreshing mineral quality, accented by spicy notes and a subtle hint of herb. The palate is equally expressive, featuring layers of black cherry and red cherry that transition into a slightly spicy floral character with touches of clove. A tangy acidity leads to decadent flavors of chocolate-covered cherries, culminating in a supple finish with impressive length.

Our 2022 Syrah opens with black pepper, black plum, and accents of violet candy on the nose. The palate is juicy, offering moderate tannin support to layers of blackberry, plum, and currant with delicate French oak framing. Pair with smoked duck, sausage, or charred scallion chimichurri.

Our first vintage of Jory Ridge offers captivating aromas of baked cherry, marionberry, clove, and a subtle hint of pencil shavings. On the palate, this wine is stunningly poised - it is rich yet nuanced, beautifully capturing the essence of our Black Walnut vineyard. Our 2024 Syrah is bold and complex from the pop of the cork. Dark, nearly opaque hues of red and purple fill the glass. A bouquet of violet, blackberry, leather, vanilla, and toasted oak are suggestive of complex flavors to come. The wine is viscous, chock-full of dark fruit, tobacco, and black tea. Velvety tannins grip the palate and last long after the last sip.

This 2024 Bay Vista Chardonnay is a vibrant expression of its coolclimate origins, greeting the nose with a warm, complex bouquet of baking spice, vanilla, and the nostalgic sweetness of toasted marshmallow. These rich notes are beautifully uplifted by the high-toned brightness of lemon zest and the crisp, orchard-fresh scent of Gala apple. On the palate, the wine delivers a lush core of succulent peach that is perfectly balanced by a bright, punchy acid profile typical of the region’s coastal influences. Each sip remains crisp, clean, and incredibly refreshing, ultimately evolving into a sophisticated savory finish.

The 2025 Silverado Rosé opens with an enchanting bouquet of strawberries and cream, accented by red cherries, pluot, and a whisper of light plum and violet. On the palate, this wine is delicate and bright, bursting with fresh red berries and the snap of crisp Pink Lady apples. A refreshing zestiness and vibrant acidity carry through to the finish, making every sip as lively as it is elegant.

2024 growing conditions were great from the start. Abundant seasonal rains and consistent weather patterns kept the growing season on schedule. Aromas of apple pie, baked bread, toasted marshmallow, vanilla cream and lemon curd fill the air. The palate is rich and creamy with poached pear, hazelnut, and cinnamon delivering an elegant interpretation of the terroir and vintage.

This wine is classic yet offers a special decadence. The nose sparks interest with tomato leaf and olive tapenade over classic cinnamon, dark cherry, and chocolate aromas. On the palate, elegant entry and velvety layers of blueberry and blackberry are complemented by graham cracker and a firm, refined finish. This wine is well-suited to a spaghetti bolognese dinner.

The 2024 Laurel Crown Pinot Noir is an expansive and ageworthy expression of the varietal, immediately captivating the senses with a complex aromatic profile of vibrant strawberry and raspberry fruit, seamlessly interwoven with intriguing notes of exotic spice, black pepper, and an evocative forest floor earthiness, all framed by a subtle hint of vanilla. On the palate, this is a big, dense wine that unfolds in intricate layers, revealing rich flavors of dark boysenberry and tart pomegranate. The wine showcases a remarkable structure, supported by plush, smooth, integrated tannins that provide weight and texture, culminating in a balanced, elegant finish.

This Pinot is sultry and inviting. Raspberry, blackberry, cigar box, leather and a hint of baking spice fill the nose. The palate offers a smooth texture and silky tannins with flavors of plum, gravel, black cherry, and chocolate. Balanced acidity carries this wine through the memorable, extended finish.

The fruit for this wine was harvested and sorted in the vineyard prior to arrival at the winery. The clusters were then carefully destemmed to keep the berries intact. Additional hand sorting removed any jack stems before the fruit was transferred to small, stainless steel, open-top fermenters. The juice and skins were cold-soaked for 4 days prior to fermentation and then gently punched down for several days. After primary fermentation was complete, the new wine was drained and the skins were gently pressed. This wine is 100% stainless steel fermented and aged.

On the nose, passion fruit, lemon curd, and tangerine lead to a balanced and approachable palate with bright acidity and a rich, juicy finish with a touch of minerality.

The fruit for this wine comes from our best block of Sauvignon Blanc on the estate. The musqué clone makes this a highly aromatic wine, showcasing a beautiful tropical bouquet upon opening. The flavor profile is bright, with lively acidity and flavors of confectionery citrus, nectarine, and white peach. The creamy finish adds notes of grapefruit and lemon custard to satisfy the palate. Enjoy paired with fatty fish, cream sauces or Thanksgiving turkey with mashed potatoes and gravy.

Our 2024 Pinot Grigio is medium-bodied and approachable. The nose offers white flower, white peach, and lemon-lime. On the palate, layers of zesty flavors and mineral nuances make this wine excellent to enjoy on its own or with a variety foods.

The 2023 GEO entices the senses with aromas of black fruits, blackberries, licorice snap, pastry, and subtle minerality with savory notes. The palate is lush and dark featuring plum galette, mulberry, baking spice and dark chocolate tannins through the decadent finish.

The 2020 Brut sparkling opens with aromas of toasted brioche, hazelnut, and lemon curd. On the palate, crisp mineral acidity and notes of lemon fruit lead to delicious toasted almond meringue flavors on the finish.

The 2023 Alexander Valley Malbec offers an inviting aromatic profile of rich blueberry pie and warm vanilla. The palate is instantly juicy, delivering a medley of dark fruit flavors—specifically blueberry, boysenberry, and blackberry—layered with subtle spice notes. This full-bodied wine maintains a soft, plush texture throughout, culminating in a refined finish with a distinct hint of graphite. The vintage highlights the valley's ability to produce approachable yet structured Malbec, balancing fruit-forward intensity with a smooth mouthfeel.

The 2023 Cinq Cépages is an elegant and inviting wine from the first pour. The wine presents sophisticated aromas of red and black currant, intertwined with notes of baking chocolate, warm barrel spice, and hints of pencil shavings. The palate is plush and rich, layering ripe blackberry, black plum, and black raspberry with notes of dark chocolate and black tea. Subtle notes of roasted sweet vanilla spice add depth. Well-structured with velvety tannins, this wine culminates in a lengthy finish.

Our 2023 Estate Chardonnay offers a beautiful bouquet of apple pie, baked bread, pear, peach, honeysuckle, flint, and vanilla. The palate displays excellent weight and creamy smooth texture with crème brûlée, pineapple, baked tart, and nutmeg carrying it through the finish.

This 2022 Syrah exhibits an especially dark hue in the glass indicative of it’s bold profile. Aromas of violet, leather, blackberry, and well-integrated French oak spice lead to a densely layered palate. Abundant dark fruit characters and velvety tannins will age beautifully for years to come.

The 2023 Malbec opens with bright red cherry, vanilla, toast, and an aroma reminiscent of powdered sugar with whiskey lactones. The palate is beautifully textured, offering layers of plum, cranberry, cedar, creamy fruit and lifting acidity

The 2025 Kerner is snappy and crisp, with a medium-density mid-palate. Citrus, apple 
and lime juice flavors complement light floral notes on the nose

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

The 2023 Carneros Chardonnay offers beautifully balanced fruit with richness imparted by time in French oak barrels. It displays an elegant profile of bright gala apple and lemon zest intertwined with vanilla crème and graham cracker notes. The finish is long and layered.

The 2023 Reserve Chardonnay offers a fresh and compelling take on the classic California Chardonnay style. The wine first introduces a deep golden color in the glass then meets the nose with notes of yellow apples, caramelized pineapple, almond cookies, and pears. The palate delivers luscious viscosity and a creamy mouthfeel. Chalky minerality and notes of melon finish with hints of flint and woody spices. 

Our 2023 Sophia’s Hillside Cuvée is primarily composed of our young hillside blocks of Cabernet Sauvignon. The fruit from these estate vineyard blocks meld together to create a perfectly balanced, intense wine. It has the fruit-forward youthfulness and freshness of the young Cabernet Sauvignon that is softened and balanced by the French oak aging. Upon opening, deep aromas of ripe blackberry, cassis, and plum are intertwined with hints of graphite, tobacco, and a touch of violet. On the palate, it is full-bodied yet balanced, with rich flavors of dark fruit and baking spice, supported by velvety tannins and bright acidity. The oak adds layers of vanilla and toasted coconut, contributing to a long, structured finish with a touch of minerality.

The 2024 Petal Vale Pinot Noir offers an elegant and complex aromatic profile that draws you in with bright notes of cranberry and fresh strawberry, gracefully balanced by a subtle earthy undertone and sophisticated hints of well-integrated oak and delicate vanilla. The palate delivers a vibrancy, opening with a slight sweetness upon entry that beautifully transitions into lively red currant. Mid-palate flavors unveil a savory complexity of bay leaf and a distinct minerality, layered with nuanced herbal notes. The wine remains focused and refined throughout, culminating in a pristine, balanced acidity on the finish that leaves a lasting impression of freshness and depth

This wine entices the senses with earthy aromas of dried herbs and nutmeg married with ripe plum and raspberry jam. The elegant palate exudes a freshness, lifting layers of ripe cherry, blackberry and mocha through the finish. We recommend pairing with roast duck with a cherry glaze reduction, or brie cheese.

SOLO is an elegant and refined Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas and flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, pie crust, and vanilla are supported by ample tannins and bright acidity. This is an age worthy wine capable of elevating any special occasion or meal and will continue to evolve for years to come.

The 2023 Trésor opens with a bouquet of cola, cedar, cassis, and peony. The palate is full, offering smooth tannins that highlight layers of plum jam, toasty oak, and English toffee on the finish.

The 2023 Reserve Pinot Noir is a stunning wine made by winemaker Greg Freeman that captures the essence of Chalone Vineyard's distinct terroir in a complex, yet refined style. Opulent aromas of bright, crushed black cherry, blackberry preserves, creamy vanilla, and cinnamon lead to a medium-full bodied plate that is an expressive and superb representation of the varietal. This wine offers a full and gratifying mid-plate and generous, lingering finish with hint of violet, clove, and a subtle mineral note. 

Our 2023 Estate Red opens with savory aromas of blueberry, blackberry, cigar box, tobacco leaf, black tea, and an underlying earthy/herbal tone. The palate is dense and complex with black cherry, vanilla, and roasted coffee bean flavors laced with supple tannins. This wine will age beautifully over the next 15 years.
