The gently rolling Belle Terre vineyard, with well-drained, gravelly and sandy loam soils produces beautiful Chardonnay fruit that has been a mainstay at Chateau St. Jean since 1975. The newest vintage opens with aromas of pineapple upside down cake accented with vanilla and baking spices. Rich and full on the palate, flavors of green fig, pear, and banana bread lead to a lingering finish.

This elegant Chardonnay has aromas of Gravenstein apple, lemon zest and hints of cardamon spice. Vibrant acidity on the pallet with flavors of juicy apple and citrus. The finish is bright, long and creamy. This wine pairs perfectly with creamed corn or butter popcorn.

Our Reserve Chardonnay blends the most standout barrels from our different single vineyard programs for an expression of Sonoma County. 18 months aging in 50% new French oak adds hazelnut and crème brulée characters to notes of ripe yellow apple and spiced pear.

Lemon curd, crème brûlée, vanilla, toasted almond and butterscotch aromas. Golden apple, baking spices, hints of butter and sweet toasted oak on the palate. Balance finished with bright citrus notes.

The Hallberg vineyard just outside Sebastopol features Goldridge sand-loam soils and with sunny days moderated by cool coastal breezes and fog. Aromas and flavors of bright red cherry and raspberry fruit are framed by baking spices, leading to a rich, plush mouthfeel and a lingering finish.

This Reserve Malbec bursts forth with vivid aromas of black cherry, fresh blackberry and blackcurrant, followed by hints of clove and a bright essence of violets. The nose leads to a lush palate with powerful, grainy tannins that will smooth with age.

Sourced from vineyards with well-drained soils that produce exceptionally concentrated fruit, this merlot was aged for 17 months in French and American oak, prior to blending with 11% Cabernet Sauvignon. The Dry Creek Merlot opens with aromas and flavors of dried cherry and plum, joined by black fruits and savory notes of lavender and licorice, with hints of white pepper. Well balanced with good structure and a plush mouthfeel, with evident tannins and a lingering finish.

Distinct flavors of blackberry pie, black cherry and sweet baking spices meld together in this round, plush wine with balanced acidity that carries it through a long, rich finish.

Grapes for this wine come from Knights Valley rocky and alluvial soils where a warm and extended growing season produces exceptional, bold cabernet sauvignon fruit. The Alexander Valley Cabernet Sauvignon has a bright and inviting nose with loads of fresh berry aromas: boysenberry, blackberry and baking spice notes. The nose leads to a plush, juicy, full mouthfeel filled with fresh berry jam and dark chocolate flavors. The wine is well-structured with a dense core of fruit and smooth tannins. The balanced acidity gives the wine a long, flavorful finish.

Elegant and inviting, the 2017 Cinq Cepages opens with beautiful aromas of fresh raspberry, red and black currant, sweet floral fruit, and notes of lavender. The lush mouthfeel is filled with supple fruit, warm milk chocolate, toasted chestnut and fall spice flavors. The vintage of Cinq Cepages showcases incredibly refined and smooth tannins which leave a silky finish. The wine is rewarding now and ready for enjoyment but will also evolve over time with proper cellaring.

The 2018 Cinq Cépages opens with inviting aromas of cassis, blackberry jam, a touch of dried currants, leather, and soft nutmeg and cardamom spice notes. The palate offers more dark fruits with rich, ripe, jammy fruit, black cherries, plums and cassis and notes of vanilla and maple spice. The wine is wellstructured with silky tannins leading to a satisfying finish. Rewarding and ready for enjoyment now, the 2018 vintage will also evolve over time with proper cellaring.

Botrytis-affected fruit for this wine is carefully hand-selected from the Belle Terre Vineyard, located on the Russian River in southern Alexander Valley. Intense aromas of ripe apricot, peach and lemon zest fill the nose of this rich dessert wine. A creamy and sweet entry is followed by nectarine, orange cream, and honey flavors. The wine is perfectly balanced with acidity and has a clean finish.

The 2016 Reserve Malbec leaps out of the glass with a deep, rich perfume and sweet notes of boysenberry confiture, dark plum jam, cassis and vanilla. On the palate the wine is full-bodied and bold, concentrated with notes of cocoa and molasses. 11% Cabernet Sauvignon adds richness and complexity to the blend, and an acid backbone that provides balance to this classic fruit-driven and appealing Malbec.
