The 2021 Annie Dyer Pinot Noir opens with aromas of brambled boysenberry cobbler, black pepper, chamborde liquor, and dark plum accents. On the palate, this wine shows great depth featuring plenty of dark fruit. Blackberry, boysenberry, and earthy pomegranate are complemented by hints of peppercorn and cocoa on the finish.

Our 2021 Malbec-Petit Verdot opens with powerful aromas of dark cherry and black berry fruits, cigar box, leather and vanilla. The mouthfeel is bold, rich, and dense, offering layers of complex flavors and chewy tannins with black berry and dark chocolate notes. With proper cellaring this wine will continue to evolve for years to come.

This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. It is a bold wine with layers of roasted spiced plum flavors and hints of cocoa, vanilla, and toasty oak on the nose. The lush tannin structure is complemented by smooth acidity that persists long after each indulgent sip. This wine pairs well with prime or short rib, roast beef, venison or pasta dishes with dark meat-based sauces.

This 2019 Syrah displays aromas of boysenberry jam, wild game and black tea. On the palate, indulgent flavors of blackberry, plum, black cherry, and dark chocolate delight the senses. This wine is bold, offering a beautifully inky color and layers of rich, dense characters melding seamlessly with silky tannins.

Pronounced aromas of red cherry, raspberry bramble, pomegranate, and marzipan introduce this exquisite wine. Graceful tannins give structured body and grip to the layers of integrated dark chocolate covered cherry, caramel, tobacco, and mocha flavors. Decant in its youth or cellar for many years to come.

PreVail West Face is an exquisite, full-bodied wine with aromas of maple, leather, wild berries, and hints of bacon, and violets. On the palate, ripe, bold fruit flavors, with dark chocolate, and plum crostada are supported by ample tannin, with espresso lingering on the finish. This wine’s bold profile will continue to evolve and age beautifully.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. The 2022 Estate Pinot Noir reveals aromas of cherry, strawberry, leather, truffle, forest floor, plum, and cinnamon. The medium-bodied palate is a beautiful representation of the varietal and the Chalone AVA. Opulent flavors of plum, bright red cherries, and strawberry are complemented by notes of toasty oak, hints of vanilla and spices, and supported by medium acidity.

Our 2021 Courtney’s Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay has mouthwatering aromas of confectionery lemon curd and toasted brioche. The palate is bold and complex with plenty of richness from its time in oak. Hints of toasted graham, candied pineapple, lemon zest, and rich notes of caramelized sugar carry this wine through the finish. We recommend allowing the wine to evolve in the glass for a few moments and pairing it with a rich dish, such as chicken marsala.

Founder’s Block is known for producing wines of exceptional character. The 2022 is a delight for the senses with enticing aromas of nectarine, baking spice, ginger, and white flower. The richness of this wine is beautifully balanced with subtle minerality and bright acidity supporting layers of stone fruit and baked apple flavors. Serve lightly chilled with smoked salmon with lemon aioli and toasted brioche, fresh peach salad with baby greens, goat cheese and pistachios, or a garden pizza with basil pesto.

Upon opening, concentrated aromas of blackberry and black cherry fill the nose. The palate is full-bodied with abundant dark fruit characters accented by dried herbs, vanilla and spice. This wine is elegantly structured with lingering notes of toasted oak on the finish.

Our 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant expression of the very best of the varietal grown on our Alexander Valley estate. A light perfume of lavender flowers leads to a bold yet refined palate. Robust tannins and flavors of black currant and dark chocolate fill the mouth, concluding with a soft, lingering finish.

Each vintage of Cinq Cepages is unique and is the result of the terrain, the growing season, and the individual vineyards selected for the blend. The 2021 is quite opulent, opening with lush dark fruit aromas accented by cassis, vanilla, and spice. The palate is plush, offering dark berry flavors coupled with toasted oak and smooth, velvety tannins. The elegant structure of this full-bodied wine lends itself to a variety of hearty, meat-based dishes and is expected to age beautifully for 10-15 years with proper cellaring.

The 2021 Valleyview is a blend of small lots resulting in a wine which reflects the elegance, intriguing aromatics, and silky texture of pinot noir grown in the Willamette Valley. The Foley Estate in the Dundee Hills, one of our earliest ripening sites, produces elegant and expressive pinot noir. The dark fruit of Doe Ridge from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA contributes structure and violet aromatics to the blend. On the nose, bright red berry aromatics are complemented by hints of black tea, orange zest, cedar and baking spices. The palate delivers a silky texture with layers of black cherries, marionberry and hints of allspice. This wine has fine, polished tannins, balanced acidity and a long, smooth finish.

A textbook Rutherford Cabernet, this wine opens with a remarkable punch. Intense aromas of raspberry, plum, dried herbs, violet and lavender waft from the bottle. The palate is bold, yet refined with intricate layers of dark fruit, blackberry, and clove that persist on the finish. This wine is well-suited to pairing with grilled portobello mushroom, venison, or steak. It will continue to evolve beautifully for 7-12 years.

Our 2021 Wright Creek Chardonnay presents rich aromas and flavors of baked pear, apple, and Meyer lemon. A full, and luxurious texture fills the palate with a creamy structure leading to a mineral finish.

A bouquet of raspberry, dark currant and rose petals leads to a silky palate with densely concentrated flavors of dark cherry, cola and dark chocolate with soft but present tannins.

Deep ruby in the glass, our 2016 Handmade Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of vanilla, tobacco, black currant and anise which leads to an exceptionally soft wine across the palate. Complex flavors of dark cherry and blackberry are complemented by hints of cocoa, graphite and savory herbs. This wine is structured with firm but smooth tannins that lead to a satisfyingly long finish.

Our 2018 Gravel Bed Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful representation of Sonoma County Cab. Aromas of clove, leather, tobacco and cassis lead to savory tapanade and red fruit flavors on the palate, finishing with bright oak.

Our 2021 Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is silky with a balanced acidity and soft tannins. Aromas include wild strawberry, black cherry, cranberry-spice, and forest floor. Ripe cherry and pomegranate dominate the flavors, along with savory hints of mushroom, clove and baking spices.

The 2021 Founder's Block reflects 100% native yeast and is unfined and unfiltered. This “hands off” approach allows the grapes and vines to shine. After 15 months in 92% new French oak, the Founder’s Block Chardonnay exhibits a creamy richness, marked by ripe pear, baked apple, and baking spices, producing rounded layers and texture.

This Cabernet Sauvignon opens with vivid aromas of boysenberry and blackberry jam. The appealing fruit aromas are enhanced with brown spice notes of clove and nutmeg. PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins. 

Decadent aromas of dark fruit, cedar, raspberry, clove, blueberry, and vanilla lead to a dense and refined palate. Flavors mimic the enticing aromas, adding dark chocolate and black currant with silky tannins leading to a long, juicy finish. The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

The 2019 Nicole’s Proprietary Red is a blend created from the best barrels of our estate’s finest vineyard blocks. The final composition consists primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with a small amount of Merlot. On the palate this wine shows soft, supple tannins with flavors of stone fruit, dark cherry and plum. Balanced by its acidity, polished tannins and exotic oak, the wine shows a beautiful juxtaposition with contrasting flavors that work well to deliver a long and lingering finish. Nicole’s should be decanted when young,and should age for 20+ years.

Complex, velvety and bold, the 2016 Cherryblock delivers a great deal of intricacy and sophistication. The wine fills the glass with deep purple and ruby highlights, followed by intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. Waves of rich black fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cedar and tobacco. The tannins from this vintage were more intense than usual due to the smaller crop size, leading us to blend in a little more Merlot than is typical. The finish is framed by full soft tannins and lingering notes of herbs and spice.
