Bold, concentrated and richly layered, our 2021 Alexander Valley Reserve Red Wine opens with aromas of hazelnut, cinnamon, toffee, cranberry, and plum. The palate exhibits ample black cherry fruit flavors accented by baking spice, tobacco, black tea, and cocoa. Fresh tannins carry this wine through the extensive finish. Serve with short ribs, shepherds pie, or jambalaya.

This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. It is a bold wine with layers of graphite, blueberry compote, and cassis fruit on the nose. The elegant tannin structure is complemented by abundant plum and blueberry flavors, with a complex finish consisting of espresso and black olive. This wine pairs well with prime or short rib, roast beef, venison or pasta dishes with dark meat-based sauces.

Our 2021 Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representation of Alexander Valley’s bold fruit, with full-bodied and well-structured tannins. This wine opens with aromas of English toffee, mocha, anise, black cherry, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, boysenberry syrup and black forest cake are supported by age-worthy acidity and silky tannins. This wine will continue to age gracefully for 7-10 years.

The 2017 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon exudes a combination of robust red and black fruits, and sweet high-toned herbs in the nose. The oak treatment supports but doesn’t overwhelm the flavors and provides a nice lengthy backbone throughout. It has a juiciness that is consistent with the fruit flavors and tremendous focus. This is a wine to enjoy over many years to come.

Our 2021 Estate Red opens with savory aromas of black cherry, black raspberry, cigar box, and black tea. The palate is dense and rich with layers of dark chocolate and spices, framed by velvety tannins. This wine will age beautifully over the next 15 years.

The 2022 Highground Pinot Noir is vibrant and deep ruby in color. On the nose, complex aromas of cedar and underbush are complemented by hints of baked cherry and red currants. The palate delivers a seamless texture and layers of black tea and baked cherries. This elegant wine with silky tannins pairs well with salmon, soft cheeses, and charcuterie.

Our 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant expression of the very best of the varietal grown on our Alexander Valley estate. This 2021 Syrah displays aromas of clove, violet, leather, spice, blackberry, boysenberry, and forest floor. The 2018 Cinq Cépages opens with inviting aromas of cassis, blackberry jam, a touch of dried currants, leather, and soft nutmeg and cardamom spice notes. The palate offers more dark fruits with rich, ripe, jammy fruit, black cherries, plums and cassis and notes of vanilla and maple spice. The wine is wellstructured with silky tannins leading to a satisfying finish. Rewarding and ready for enjoyment now, the 2018 vintage will also evolve over time with proper cellaring.

Our 2021 Estate Pinot Noir is silky with a balanced acidity and soft tannins. Aromas include wild strawberry, black cherry, cranberry-spice, and forest floor. Ripe cherry and pomegranate dominate the flavors, along with savory hints of mushroom, clove and baking spices.

The 2019 vintage of Lone Acre Cabernet Sauvignon showcases aromas of plum, cedar, and black pepper. The rich and weighty palate possesses notes of black cherry, spice, and coffee that lead to a long and smooth finish.

This Pinot Noir opens with aromas of spiced black cherry cola, dark plum, and black pepper. On the palate, it has great concentration, bold tannin, and prominent oak tones of toasted vanilla, marzipan, and bourbon. This bold Pinot Noir will continue to evolve with proper cellaring and should be decanted in its youth. Enjoy served alongside a peppered steak for the ultimate indulgent feast.

The 2022 Estate Pinot Noir reveals aromas of cherry, strawberry, leather, truffle, forest floor, plum, and cinnamon. The medium-bodied palate is a beautiful representation of the varietal and the Chalone AVA. Opulent flavors of plum, bright red cherries, and strawberry are complemented by notes of toasty oak, hints of vanilla and spices, and supported by medium acidity.

Named for late winemaker Patrick (Pat) Foley, this wine was crafted to embody his bold character, fun-loving personality and relentless spirit. Upon opening, aromas of toasty oak, cinnamon, vanilla, plum and cherry waft from the glass. The robust mouthfeel maintains intrigue as flavors of spicy white pepper, plum, and cocoa powder flow across the palate. Medium tannins and a long finish make this wine an ideal pairing with a hamburger, pizza, or meatloaf and will continue to evolve with proper cellaring for 10 to 15 years.

Napa Valley’s wine history is deeply rooted in the California Gold Rush (1848–1855) and the prosperity-seeking pioneers who settled around San Francisco. One such pioneer was California gold miner, saloonkeeper and grape-grower, Abel McFarland. In 1872, McFarland purchased land north of Napa along the Silverado trail and planted vineyards.

During prohibition, the property exchanged hands several times until 1968 when it was sold to Harry See (of See’s Candy fame) who named it Silverado Vineyard and planted Cabernet. The vineyard is situated in the area now known as Stags Leap District, legendary for its Cabernet.

Ten years later, Silverado purchased the site and extraordinary vineyard – which is where we source the grapes for our SOLO Cabernet. Each year we select distinctive blocks of a special field selection from this same vineyard and create a one-of-a-kind, single-vineyard Cabernet in Abel’s honor.

These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. The 2021 GEO is a strong tribute to its reputation. Brambly aromas with spice, blackberry, dark fruit, and rich toffee lead to a robust mouthfeel. Rich layers of black and blue fruits coupled with coffee, licorice, and cola linger long after the last sip.

The 2022 Little Patch Chardonnay is medium-bodied with a round, rich and creamy texture that is balanced by generous notes of apple pie, baked bread, pineapple, and a hint of vanilla spice. Fresh acidity carries it through the finish.

Our 2020 Handmade Cabernet Franc opens with bright fruit aromas of cherry, plum and blueberry, and earthy notes of dried herbs and fresh mint. This wine is big and bold on the palate, with red fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum. Medium-firm tannins are present on the long, creamy finish.

The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

Our 2021 Courtney’s Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay has mouthwatering aromas of confectionery lemon curd and toasted brioche. The palate is bold and complex with plenty of richness from its time in oak. Hints of toasted graham, candied pineapple, lemon zest, and rich notes of caramelized sugar carry this wine through the finish. We recommend allowing the wine to evolve in the glass for a few moments and pairing it with a rich dish, such as chicken marsala.

Our 2021 Ode to the Beast Cabernet Sauvignon opens with intense aromas of dark fruits, cinnamon, vanilla, and nutmeg.
