2019 Foley Johnson Pat's Blend Red Wine, Rutherford
Named for late winemaker Patrick (Pat) Foley, this wine was crafted to embody his bold character, fun-loving personality and relentless spirit. Upon opening, aromas of black currant and sweet licorice are present with notes of vanilla spice. Flavors of black cherry and dark plum fill the mouth with well-balanced acidity and a lingering slightly sweet finish. The long French oak aging regimen gives this wine a strong structure with ample aging potential.
