This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. It is a bold wine with layers of roasted spiced plum flavors and hints of cocoa, vanilla, and toasty oak on the nose. The lush tannin structure is complemented by smooth acidity that persists long after each indulgent sip. The 2021 Cherryblock Cabernet Sauvignon shows remarkable depth and complexity. Ripe black cherry, black currant, dried strawberry, red plum, and accents of vanilla and white pepper fill the nose. The palate delivers ample black and red brambly fruit flavors, seamlessly integrated with notes of caramel, cocoa, and subtle spice. Our 2021 Courtney’s Vineyard Reserve Chardonnay has mouthwatering aromas of confectionery lemon curd and toasted brioche. The palate is bold and complex with plenty of richness from its time in oak. Hints of toasted graham, candied pineapple, lemon zest, and rich notes of caramelized sugar carry this wine through the finish. We recommend allowing the wine to evolve in the glass for a few moments and pairing it with a rich dish, such as chicken marsala.

Our 2021 Malbec-Petit Verdot opens with powerful aromas of dark cherry and black berry fruits, cigar box, leather and vanilla. The mouthfeel is bold, rich, and dense, offering layers of complex flavors and chewy tannins with black berry and dark chocolate notes. With proper cellaring this wine will continue to evolve for years to come.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. Our 2021 Wright Creek Chardonnay presents rich aromas and flavors of baked pear, apple, and Meyer lemon. A full, and luxurious texture fills the palate with a creamy structure leading to a mineral finish.

This wine is big, bold, and dense, packing abundant savory characters into the bouquet and palate. The first swirl of the glass reveals barrel spice, cigar box, leather, black cherry, and black raspberry. Founder’s Block is known for producing wines of exceptional character. The 2022 is a delight for the senses with enticing aromas of nectarine, baking spice, ginger, and white flower. The 2021 Valleyview is a blend of small lots resulting in a wine which reflects the elegance, intriguing aromatics, and silky texture of pinot noir grown in the Willamette Valley. The Foley Estate in the Dundee Hills, one of our earliest ripening sites, produces elegant and expressive pinot noir. The dark fruit of Doe Ridge from the Yamhill-Carlton AVA contributes structure and violet aromatics to the blend. On the nose, bright red berry aromatics are complemented by hints of black tea, orange zest, cedar and baking spices. The palate delivers a silky texture with layers of black cherries, marionberry and hints of allspice. This wine has fine, polished tannins, balanced acidity and a long, smooth finish.

Our 2021 Windborn Pinot Noir is deep and dark with shades of mahogany and garnet. On the nose, black cherry, cedar and earthy aromas are complemented by hints of black olive and baking spices. The palate delivers a dense yet velvety texture with lush layers of plum and dark cherries finishing with firm, mouth-coating tannins. This wine will age beautifully for several years to come, but can be enjoyed now after decanting.

The 2021 Founder's Block reflects 100% native yeast and is unfined and unfiltered. This “hands off” approach allows the grapes and vines to shine. After 15 months in 92% new French oak, the Founder’s Block Chardonnay exhibits a creamy richness, marked by ripe pear, baked apple, and baking spices, producing rounded layers and texture.

Deep ruby in the glass, our 2016 Handmade Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of vanilla, tobacco, black currant and anise which leads to an exceptionally soft wine across the palate. This wine is structured with firm but smooth tannins that lead to a satisfyingly long finish.

The 2021 Felta Chardonnay is defined by its bright acidity and mineral finish. This wine displays desirable layers of lemon, nectarine peach and vanilla flavors, enticing sip after sip.

A decadent night cap. “Angelica” is a historic and rare style of wine produced with little or no fermentation; it is made by the addition of brandy to grape must. Elevate your sipping experience with this exceptional dessert wine. Brimming with notes of toffee and caramel it's beautiful when savored as an end of night treat but equally delicious a la mode or atop roasted peaches.

The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

Our 2018 Gravel Bed Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful representation of Sonoma County Cab. Aromas of clove, leather, tobacco and cassis lead to savory tapanade and red fruit flavors on the palate, finishing with bright oak.

This is a well-structured wine that beautifully displays the quality of our Rutherford Estate terroir.
