Our 2021 Windborn Pinot Noir is deep and dark with shades of mahogany and garnet. On the nose, black cherry, cedar and earthy aromas are complemented by hints of black olive and baking spices. The palate delivers a dense yet velvety texture with lush layers of plum and dark cherries finishing with firm, mouth-coating tannins. This wine will age beautifully for several years to come, but can be enjoyed now after decanting.

The 2019 Cinq Cépages opens with aromas of sweet dark cherry and raspberry jam on layers of mocha, clove, and sweet vanilla. On the palate, sweet blackberry and dark plum flavors are framed by toasty oak and a hint of dried herbs, and a plush, full body accented by fine-grained tannins. Lively acidity balances a lengthy finish of sweet vanilla, jammy fruit, and hint of dark chocolate.

Each offering of this unique reserve blend shows a distinct personality, influenced by the selection of varietals, growing region and vintage. The 2018 is bursting with opulence. Aromas of black cherry, roasted meat, hints of black olive and violet lead to a rich, juicy palate and decadent cocoa finish.

Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with layers of vanilla, spice, dark fruit and black tea. Dense and supple, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. It is a bold wine with layers of roasted spiced plum flavors and hints of cocoa, vanilla, and toasty oak on the nose. The lush tannin structure is complemented by smooth acidity that persists long after each indulgent sip. This wine pairs well with prime or short rib, roast beef, venison or pasta dishes with dark meat-based sauces.

Upon swirling the glass, you’ll notice aromas of cassis, black olive, and dried oregano. On the palate, smooth tannins with well-integrated oak provide the backbone for bold flavors of black currant, dried sweet tobacco, graphite, accents of cedar, and ribbons of caramel and espresso. Decant and enjoy with steak frites.

This rustic pinot noir that hails from near the Mendocino coast has a flavor profile of earthy forest and mushroom with hints of ripe olive and graham cracker. Think of digging in to the “nuts & chews” See’s candy box! Finishes with smooth acid, a beautiful balance of tannins and a hint of black tea.

This savory wine opens with aromas of earthy dark plum, accents of red hibiscus tea, and black pepper. On the palate, refined texture and elegant tannins are coupled with layers of ripe confectionary fruits, notes of black pepper, dried herbs, and pomegranate. We recommend decanting to allow this complex wine to evolve.

This 2019 Syrah displays aromas of boysenberry jam, wild game and black tea. On the palate, indulgent flavors of blackberry, plum, black cherry, and dark chocolate delight the senses. Grapes for this wine come from Knights Valley rocky and alluvial soils where a warm and extended growing season produces exceptional, bold cabernet sauvignon fruit. Blackberry and blueberry aromas with bark and dried shitake mushroom, following through to a full body with round, juicy tannins that are soft and ripe. A worthy illustration of all that Knights Valley has to offer.

The Chairman Series Lineage is a bold and distinguished red. On the nose, roasted spiced plum pie with hints of espresso, vanilla and toasty oak intermingle creating a mouthwatering aroma. Layers of dense flavors mimic the bouquet with strong support from a perfectly balanced tannin-acid structure. Our 2020 Handmade Cabernet Franc opens with bright fruit aromas of cherry, plum and blueberry, and earthy notes of dried herbs and fresh mint. This wine is big and bold on the palate, with red fruit flavors of cherry, raspberry and plum. Medium-firm tannins are present on the long, creamy finish.
