PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins.

The 2022 Knights Valley Cabernet Sauvignon is a powerhouse wine. It opens with bold black cherry, black currant,
and dark chocolate aromas. The palate offers abundant dark brambly fruit flavors - blackberry, blueberry, cocoa,
and spice. Velvety tannins carry this wine through the long, elegant finish. Enjoy paired with bacon-wrapped dates
stuffed with goat cheese, lamb chops with garlic and herbs, or a variety of hearty meat dishes.

The 2017 Cherryblock is a wine of great complexity, intricacy and sophistication. In the glass, the wine is deep purple with ruby highlights, and others intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. Waves of rich black fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cedar and tobacco. The finish is framed by full soft tannins and lingering notes of herbs and spice.

Deep in color, it reveals a complex nose of black currant, plum, anise and violet. Refined and polished tannins provide amazing structure and depth that complement commanding flavors of dark plum, black currant, blackberry, savory leather and dark chocolate. An incredible display of the rich and concentrated flavors that come from our estate vineyards, this wine glides across the palate for a long, decadent finish. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

Our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal. The nose exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, caramelized sugar, barrel spice and a hint of tobacco leaf. These aromas carry through to the palate, with additional notes of dusty cocoa, vanilla, and dried sage. Firm yet smooth tannins are present on the lingering finish.

Complex, velvety and bold, the 2016 Cherryblock delivers a great deal of intricacy and sophistication. The wine fills the glass with deep purple and ruby highlights, followed by intense, concentrated aromas of blackberry, vanilla and baking spices. The tannins from this vintage were more intense than usual due to the smaller crop size, leading us to blend in a little more Merlot than is typical. Upon opening, dark fruit aromas of black cherry and blueberry are intertwined with notes of forest floor and vanilla spice. Deep, layered flavors of blackberry, dark chocolate, and black tea are present on the palate. Soft tannins and a hints of mocha linger on the finish.

Deep ruby in the glass, our 2016 Handmade Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromas of vanilla, tobacco, black currant and anise which leads to an exceptionally soft wine across the palate. Complex flavors of dark cherry and blackberry are complemented by hints of cocoa, graphite and savory herbs. This wine is structured with firm but smooth tannins that lead to a satisfyingly long finish.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. Our 2023 Mordecai offers abundant ripe blackberry and plum aromas with a touch of vanilla, baking spice, and floral notes. The palate is medium-bodied, adding black cherry, herbal sage, berry medley, leather, and a hint of caramel spice to the satisfying finish.

Siena has delicious aromas of blackberry, raspberry jam, cocoa, toasty vanilla, licorice, and nutmeg spice that lead to flavors of Bing cherry, blueberry, sweet plums, pomegranate, mocha, sweet oak notes and a hint of butterscotch. SIENA has supple tannins and a balanced mouthfeel with lively elegance and depth.

This wine is rich and intense with aromas of dried blueberry, leather, spiced dark chocolate, and vanilla. On the palate, dominant boysenberry jam flavors are accented by notes of cedar and a hint of barrel toast on the decadent finish.
