The 2023 Handmade Rutherford Malbec is bursting with pronounced aromas of black plum, crushed purple rose, bright strawberry, fresh sage, clove, and warm loam soil. This is a full-bodied, elegant wine. Blueberry pie and black cherry liqueur flow across the palate, supported by silky tannins. Pair with ground beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce or braised pork shank. 

The 2023 Handmade Cabernet Sauvignon opens with bright, clean aromatics of red raspberry and plum coupled with lavender, violet, birch wood, brown sugar, and coffee. On the palate, sweet tannins lift layers of red fruit, black cherry, and mulberry. The wine finishes long and smooth. Pair with escargot or sea scallops. 

The 2020 Brut sparkling opens with aromas of golden delicious apple, pear, and brioche. On the palate, fine mousse is accompanied by a smooth richness and velvety bubbles. Flavors of apple compote, pear, hazelnut and hints of walnut linger on the finish. 

Our 2021 Handmade Cabernet Franc offers aromas and flavors of autumn leaves, cherry, raspberry, vanilla, graham cracker, and a touch of white pepper. This wine is medium-bodied with great texture and a long finish. Cellared properly this wine will continue to evolve in-bottle for 8-10 years. Serve with braised beef rib with deglazed Cabernet Franc sauce and roasted carrots.

A textbook Rutherford Cabernet, this wine opens with a remarkable punch. Intense aromas of raspberry, plum, dried herbs, violet and lavender waft from the bottle. The palate is bold, yet refined with intricate layers of dark fruit, blackberry, and clove that persist on the finish. This wine is well-suited to pairing with grilled portobello mushroom, venison, or steak. It will continue to evolve beautifully for 7-12 years.

This full-bodied Cabernet is layered with concentrated dark berry flavors, cinnamon, nutmeg, and baking spice. This is a well-structured wine, beautifully displaying the quality of our Rutherford Estate terroir. While approachable now, this wine will age beautifully and gain complexity over the next 10-20 years.

Named for late winemaker Patrick (Pat) Foley, this wine was crafted to embody his bold character, fun-loving personality and relentless spirit. Upon opening, aromas of bright red cherry and raspberry integrate with licorice, black pepper and woody spice. The rich mouthfeel suggests plum and blackberry pie with notes of vanilla and tobacco. This wine finishes with excellent structure and is expected to evolve in bottle for the next 12 to 15 years with proper cellaring.

Our 2021 Handmade Petit Verdot is dark and inky in the glass, opening with aromas of dark cherry, sage, violet, caramel, and forest floor. Bold and full on the palate, this wine has layered flavors of red cherry, plum compote, and cedar. The 48% new French oak aging softens the bold tannins and provides lingering notes of creamy vanilla and roasted coffee beans on the finish.

This wine is the ideal blend of fruit and creaminess, with intentional depth and brightness. Baked pear, vanilla, baking spice, apple and butterscotch aromas are dashed with a bit of lemon zest. 50% malolactic fermentation adds texture to the wine that is perfectly balanced with peach salinity and a clean finish.

Handmade Coombsville Cab in every sense of the word. Showcases notes of chocolate, blueberry pie, jammed red fruits, and black currant. It boasts a powerful upfront mouth feel with sweet oak barrel spices and a silky, rounded finish.

Aromas of red fruits, tea leaf, hibiscus and caramel fill the nose upon opening our 2020 Handmade Merlot. The palate is juicy and filled with flavors of strawberry and sweet cherry with a fresh acidity. The French oak provides structure and hints of toasted spice, cigar box and vanilla. A viscous mouthfeel and smooth tannins linger on the elegant finish.

The 2020 Malbec is elegant and full-bodied. It opens with aromas of plum, blueberry, fresh cherry, and notes of forest floor. The palate mirrors the nose, adding strawberry and toasted oak to the bright, long finish.

A decadent night cap. “Angelica” is a historic and rare style of wine produced with little or no fermentation; it is made by the addition of brandy to grape must. Elevate your sipping experience with this exceptional dessert wine. Brimming with notes of toffee and caramel it's beautiful when savored as an end of night treat but equally delicious a la mode or atop roasted peaches.

Our goal is to create a wine that is a balance of Old and New World in impression i.e., the fruit is deemphasized in the aroma, but the mouth is rich and flavorful without being too heavy. The 2018 vintage of Lone Acre Cabernet Sauvignon possesses a dark garnet color, with a nose showing blueberry and blackberry fruits along with exotic barrel spice. Refreshing acidity, fine-grain tannins, and layered flavors on the palate lead to a lengthy finish.

Our 2019 vintage Cabernet Franc displays a dark ruby color in the glass. Flavor notes of cherry, dark chocolate, dried prune, crushed pepper, and dried herbs are present on both the nose and palate. Smooth, well-coated tannins and vivid acidity are followed by a lingering finish.

This wine is classic yet offers a special decadence. The nose sparks interest with tomato leaf and olive tapenade over classic cinnamon, dark cherry, and chocolate aromas. Our 2019 Danielli displays a deep ruby color and presents intense aroma notes of berries, black cassis, caramel, and forest floor. This is a full-bodied wine with muscular tannins, firm acidity, and a lengthy finish.

Petit Verdot is known for its saturated color and bold phenolics, and this wine is an excellent representation of that. After decanting, dynamic characters come to life - the nose is bold with toasted oak, plum, vanilla, and cigar box, with accents of black pepper. The full-body exhibits robust flavors of cocoa, cherry jam, leather, and spice lingering long after the last sip. Lamb shank or blue cheese are wonderful pairings for this powerhouse wine.

The 2019 vintage of Lone Acre Cabernet Sauvignon showcases aromas of plum, cedar, and black pepper. The rich and weighty palate possesses notes of black cherry, spice, and coffee that lead to a long and smooth finish.

Our 2022 Handmade Cabernet Franc is characterized by earthy aromas of pine cone, cedar, and sage, coupled with rose petal, black cherry, and violet. The well-structured palate delivers blueberry and spice with a long finish. Serve alongside cod with red miso or Gruyere cheese.

Wine lots and barrels selected for our ‘El Coyote’ Cabernet Sauvignon don’t necessarily come from a particular spot on the estate (la Vineyard Designate), but rather share common flavor and structural attributes that highlight the dark, meaty, rich, black fruit aspects of the variety. To further highlight these characters, we often co-ferment with varieties that share these same qualities.

A lovely pale pink in the glass, our 2022 Rose offers a bouquet of violets, raspberry, strawberry and fresh peach. The palate is crisp and balanced with a subtle minerality and refreshing acidity. Flavors of stone fruits, bright cranberry and a hint of lemon thyme linger on the juicy finish.

The 2016 vintage displays aromas of black currant, cedar and fresh herbs. The palate offers surprisingly bright acidity with soft tannins and flavors of plum and raspberry with notes of vanilla and espresso. Smooth and lingering on the finish, this Cabernet Sauvignon promises a long cellar life.

This wine has aromas of cedar, plum and coco powder that show promise of depth and complexity. On the palate the first thing is how the soft entry turns to richness and roundness. Plenty of dark fruit, plum, boysenberry and blackberry with a long, silky finish.

The 2017 vintage displays aromas of black cherry, vanilla and a hint of black pepper. The palate offers surprisingly bright acidity with soft tannins and flavors of blackberry, ripe cherry, dried sage and cloves. While youthful, this wine offers a smooth and lingering finish, and promises a long cellar life.

Our 2018 Villa Vista Cabernet Sauvignon is dark and dense with aromas of red and black fruits, black pepper, Flavors of red licorice, and cherry fill the palate followed by a beautiful red fruit and oak finish.

An excellent tribute to the varietal and terroir, the 2022 Handmade Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon opens with a bouquet of lavender, raspberry, mint, cocoa, cherry compote, and blueberry. The beautifully orchestrated palate offers a rich entry with superb depth of character, showcasing black cherry flavors accented by cream and black pepper. The 2017, "El Coyote" Cabernet is about all things dark and powerful in a red wine. Aromas of blueberries intermingle with oak and smoked ham, which carry through to the palate, filling every corner of your mouth, leaving a smoky after taste.

The elegant palate exudes a freshness, lifting layers of ripe cherry, blackberry and mocha through the finish. We recommend pairing with roast duck with a cherry glaze reduction, or brie cheese.
