Banshee was conceived in 2009, at a bar in the Dogpatch neighborhood of San Francisco, with the intent to make affordable luxury wines from Sonoma County. Today, Banshee has migrated north to sit atop a Geyserville foothill in the heart of Sonoma County’s Alexander Valley, where we produce wines of outstanding balance, purity, and depth.

Banshee 2021 Pinot Noir, Anderson Valley

Sourced from two vineyards along the chilly reaches of coastal Mendocino, this rustic Pinot Noir makes the perfect pairing to our Mushroom Tartlets with Brandy & Sage with its earthy forest characters with hints of mushroom, ripe olive, and graham cracker. Think of digging in to the “nuts & chews” See’s candy box! The finish is smooth, with balanced, supportive tannins.

This rustic pinot noir that hails from near the Mendocino coast has a flavor profile of earthy forest and mushroom with hints of ripe olive and graham cracker. This structured yet delicate pinot noir has aromatics of exotic berries, cherry pie and vanilla custard with a hint of bramble. In the mouth, you find smooth, deep flavors of dark chocolate covered cranberry and pomegranate with a touch of rose and cigarbox on the finish. A beautiful pinot noir with structured, elegant tannins and a long finish.

“Luke, I am your father”: Welcome to the dark side of pinot noir. This rich, deep pinot noir has aromatics of of forest floor, dark figs and cherry pie with soft vanilla bean that lead to a juicy entry with layered flavors of Christmas spice, green tea, cola and a hint of caramel candy. A deep, dark pinot noir with intense tannins and lush flavors that finishes with a lingering whisper.

This pinot noir takes you on a lovely stroll down a summer garden path. A fresh, fruit-driven wine with ever-changing aromatics of bright strawberry, star anise and cranberry with floral hints of jasmine and leather. Delicate flavors of strawberry lead to a supple mouthfeel and lingering finish with nice acidity. An elegant, delicate pinot noir with purity, grace and finesse.

This bold pinot noir is mouth-filling and lush, expressing its rugged mountain roots, with aromatics of cherry cola and maple syrup with hints of ginerbread cookie and crème brûlée. A solid, masculine pinot noir with a lingering finish and firm, structured tannins.

This quintessential cool climate pinot noir has lush aromatics of strawberry jam and fudge covered bacon with hints of baked cookie crumbs, sassafras and mocha. Rich flavors of pomegranate, bright cherries and cola are balanced by a hint of caramelized sugar and vanilla. This big, muscular wine is bright yet full-bodied with structured tannins that is beautiful now but will only get better with time.

An exciting, yet friendly wine, bursting with aromas of fresh, muddled strawberry, bright cherry and pomegranate with hints of forest floor, toasted caramel and five-spice. The flavors combine to create a fruit-driven front palate and very subtle oak influence. The finish leaves you wanting more, with nice acid and flavors of strawberry sauce, pomegranate and spice to create great weight for an excellent food wine, as well as a charming drinking experience by itself.

This cabernet franc has beautiful aromatics of ripe mountain blueberries and fun floral undertones with light hints of graphite that lead to flavors of wild blueberries, dark toffee, chocolate covered raspberry and light roasted coffee. A juicy, berry driven wine with big, chewy tannins, lovely florality and a nice dry finish.

The 2019 Mendocino County Rosé is a lovely shade of pale salmon with aromas of rose water, salinity and fresh-picked strawberries. Bright flavors of juicy cantaloupe and honeydew melon are highlighted by a touch of Meyer lemon. Racy acidity and elegance are balanced perfectly in this dry, crisp Rosé.

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

The 2023 Sauvignon Blanc opens with a fragrant nose of lemon-lime, lychee, kiwi, and cantalope with a touch of honeysuckle. Bright acidity and juicy flavors of lychee and mango lead to a smooth mineral finish for this refreshing wine.

The 2022 Sonoma County Rosé is a lovely shade of pale salmon with aromas of floral, tutti-frutti bubblegum and fresh watermelon. Bright, mouthwatering flavors of juicy watermelon are highlighted by hints of minerality and a soft yet crisp finish. Racy acidity and elegance are balanced perfectly in this dry, crisp rosé.

Our Sonoma County Cabernet Sauvignon is deep, purple-ruby in color with aromas of baked plum pie, dried black currant, lavender and violets with hints of cedar of anise. A juicy entry on the mouth delivers plush, fine tannins with a velvety texture.This approachable, medium-bodied cabernet has full, yet silky flavors of plum, berries, vanilla and graham cracker.. A finale of round tannins leads to a dry, smooth finish. It plays nicely with California grass fed beef burgers, balsamic lamb shank or grilled beef short ribs.

Lively and impactful, this chardonnay has aromatics of toasty baked apple pie with spice, fresh honey dripping from the comb and floral notes. This coastal wine has lovely acidity with a smooth, creamy weight and plays nicely with the soft hints of butter cream and caramel. This chardonnay will brighten any day, or mood!

Aromatics of plum and black cherry with hints of hibiscus, toffee and allspice with leather undertones lead to an inviting, medium-bodied pinot noir. Bright flavors of juicy cherry and strawberry touched with spice and vanilla lead into a full, toasty finish with silky, smooth tannins. This wine has plenty of personality and would love to be served with a slight chill on a warm summer afternoon.

An enticing nose of roasted coffee, cherry and baking spices with notes of violet, forest bark and a whisper of sage. On the palate it is a mouthwatering mélange of juicy pomegranate and dried cherry flavors backed by balanced acid, bold structure and violet tones giving way to a smooth, round finish.

Lively and impactful, this chardonnay has aromatics of honeysuckle, light toasty oak, pear spice, and lychee, with hints of confectioners sugar, mineral, and lemon. This coastal wine is bright up front with more oak impact on the palate. Notes of toasty rice cake lead to a nice, long lingering finish.

A textbook Sonoma County Pinot Noir, the 2023 opens with a bouquet of violet, pomegranate, bright cherry, and nuanced graphite with a touch of forest floor and bay leaf. This is an elegant, smooth-textured wine, with a burst of energetic acidity. Dark cherry flavors coat the palate and linger long after the last sip.

Aromatics of pomegranate, floral violet, honeycomb, light green olive and graphite lead to a soft and smooth pinot noir. Riper flavors of sweet cherry cobbler provide a beautiful thread of acidity through the palate.

This wonderfully complex Sonoma County Chardonnay has aromatics of  caramel toffee and exotic lychee with hints of spice, sugar babies and lemon pie f illing. In the mouth, the wine is lush and viscous but packs extraordinary depth of f lavor rich with with lemon pie, luscious caramel and vanilla wafer. This round yet delicate wine finishes with bright acidity and a creamy finish.
