Named for an abandoned mining town, Silverado Vineyards sits atop a gentle knoll in Napa Valley’s Stags Leap District. Just two families have guided this winery through its long history—first Ron and Diane (Disney) Miller, and now the Foley family. This holiday season, as you raise a glass with your loved ones near and far, enjoy sharing two distinct expressions of Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Silverado Vineyards Abel Cabernet Sauvignon delivers the powerful character of our Silverado Vineyard in Stags Leap District, and GEO Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of the finest lots of any given year from across all four of our estate vineyards.
Our Spotlight Silverado Vineyards Gift Box Includes:
2017 Silverado Vineyards Abel Cabernet Sauvignon, Stags Leap District
This memorable single-vineyard wine was named for a California gold miner, saloonkeeper, and pioneering winegrower. Warm sun reflected from the region’s dramatic palisades brings Cabernet Sauvignon grapes to perfect ripeness for aromas and flavors of cherry, pomegranate, and plum with hints of vanilla, cola, and clove.
Pairs Well With: Braised Short Ribs with Root Vegetables and Roasted Vegetable & Quinoa Salad with Pomegranates
2016 Silverado Vineyards GEO Cabernet Sauvignon, Coombsville
Grapes for the 2016 GEO Cabernet Sauvignon come from warm estate vineyards in Coombsville in the southeastern reaches of Napa Valley. Aromas of sweet fruit and hints of clove give way to flavors of muddled black cherry, anise, and stone fruit, supported by firm tannins.
Pairs Well With: Stuffed Acorn Squash with Quinoa & Dried Fruits and Herb-Crusted Rack of Lamb
“At Silverado Vineyards we have the advantage of sourcing grapes from our own estate vineyards in four of the finest appellations in Napa Valley—Silverado Vineyard in Stags Leap District, Mt. George Vineyard in Coombsville, Miller Ranch Vineyard in Yountville and Borreo Ranch in Napa. Our goal in the winery is to capture the terroir of each of these vineyard sites with wines of remarkable character and complexity.” - Alison Rodriguez, Winemaker
