The pinot noir for this rosé was handpicked and whole cluster pressed to preserve the delicate aromatics and light pink color. The contribution from the neutral French oak adds weight and length to the palate and also allows contact with the lees for a creamy texture. Aromas of fresh wild strawberry and stone fruits set the tone for this delightful rosé. The palate shows bright notes of grapefruit and strawberry that lead into a soft minerality. A lively acidity accents the ripe fruit flavors and carries the wine into a crisp finish.

Flavors of black cherry fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cacao, cedar and tobacco. Full soft tannins complete the profile with lingering notes of herbs and spice. This wine is drinking well in its youth, but will improve over the next 10+ years.

Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with layers of vanilla, spice, dark fruit and black tea. Dense and supple, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

Napa Valley’s wine history is deeply rooted in the California Gold Rush (1848–1855) and the prosperity-seeking pioneers who settled around San Francisco. One such pioneer was California gold miner, saloonkeeper and grape-grower, Abel McFarland. In 1872, McFarland purchased land north of Napa along the Silverado trail and planted vineyards. During prohibition, the property exchanged hands several times until 1968 when it was sold to Harry See (of See’s Candy fame) who named it Silverado Vineyard and planted Cabernet. The vineyard is situated in the area now known as Stags Leap District, legendary for its Cabernet. Ten years later, Silverado purchased the site and extraordinary vineyard – which is where we source the grapes for our SOLO Cabernet. Each year we select distinctive blocks of a special field selection from this same vineyard and create a one-of-a-kind, single-vineyard Cabernet in Abel’s honor.

Our 2023 Rosé of Pinot Noir has white floral notes of jasmine and citrus blossom, with fresh strawberry, and hints of pine. The juicy mouthfeel echos the aromatics, adding watermelon flavors and a clean satin-like finish. Pair this wine with a strawberry salad, pork bahn mi, or ahi carpaccio.

The 2021 Cabernet Franc is delicate yet layered. Aromas and flavors of plum, black currant, cinnamon, vanilla, green tobacco, and toasted marshmallow lead to a decadent, long-lasting crème brûlée finish.

The 2021 Courtney Chardonnay opens with French Chablis inspired aromatics - bright citrus zest tones, racy minerality, and nuance of toasted hazelnut. On the palate, this wine has bold acidity that pairs beautifully with fresh oysters or a myriad of seafood. Lean and light, with hints of faint white peach and chalky minerality make this the perfect, refreshing chardonnay for your summer beach-side sip by the glass.

Our 2021 Windborn Pinot Noir is deep and dark with shades of mahogany and garnet. On the nose, black cherry, cedar and earthy aromas are complemented by hints of black olive and baking spices. The palate delivers a dense yet velvety texture with lush layers of plum and dark cherries finishing with firm, mouth-coating tannins. This wine will age beautifully for several years to come, but can be enjoyed now after decanting.

Upon swirling the glass, you’ll notice aromas of cassis, black olive, and dried oregano. On the palate, smooth tannins with well-integrated oak provide the backbone for bold flavors of black currant, dried sweet tobacco, graphite, accents of cedar, and ribbons of caramel and espresso. Our 2022 Pinot Grigio is opens with lively aromatics of ripe peach, ginger root, star anise and subtle mineral notes. The palate is fresh and tropical with flavors of granny smith apple, fresh orchard peach, banana and juicy mango. This is a wonderful expression of the varietal with a smooth, refreshing finish.

Our Blanc de Noirs opens with aromas of lemon zest, rounded out by soft vanilla and juicy white peach stone fruit. On the palate a bright crispness yields to sweet melon and hints of vanilla with a green apple lift, with a fresh raspberry element. The bubbles dance lightly finishing with a creamy, lush palate and persistent finish.

Concentrated layers of black cherry, cocoa, and nutmeg fill the nose upon first pour. The palate is balanced with dense tannins and acidity to provide structure to this full-bodied Cabernet.

Our 2021 Dundee Hills Reserve Pinot Noir displays a dark ruby color. Nuanced aromas of dark cherries, spice and mulberry set the tone. Juicy black cherry coats the palate with notes of vanilla and spice highlighted in the background. The use of new French oak barrels in this wine supports the fruit and adds a touch of baking spice aroma where the contribution of older French oak barrels allows the tannins to develop gracefully over time. The finish is silky and long, which is a characteristic of Dundee Hills Pinot Noir.

Our 2019 Dry Creek Valley Zinfandel is a bold and hearty wine. Aromas of dried rose petals, crushed raspberries and briary fruit are present among opening. The palate is medium-bodied with juicy flavors of fresh raspberries and strawberry marmalade and notes of sweet spices. A hint of toasty oak lingers on the finish.

Our 2019 Sangiovese opens with aromas of violet, new leather and wild raspberry. Ample elegance reigns with this red fruit oriented beauty. Silky tannins and integrated acid with subtle oak spice.

The fruit for this wine comes from our best block of Sauvignon Blanc on the estate. The musqué clone makes this a highly aromatic wine, with tropical guava, peach, and nectarine notes. The palate is bright, with lively acidity and flavors of confectionery pineapple meringue accented by grapefruit and citrus on the finish.

Our 2021 Reserve Pinot Blanc is rich and complex with aromas of fresh apricot highlighted by hints of baked pear and citrus zest. The palate continues with flavors of stone fruits, melon and soft, creamy vanilla. The bright acidity and richness of this medium-bodied wine is complemented by an integrated and seamless mouthfeel.

The 2020 Lindsay’s Pinot Noir opens with aromas of bright red cherry cola and accents of red cranberry fruit with dashes of black pepper. On the palate, it is a light-bodied Pinot Noir with dominant flavors of red cranberry tart and fresh red raspberry purée. Spiced peppercorn, dried cherry, and raspberry fruit notes linger on the finish. This wine would be a delight paired with a creamy fromage.

Our 2021 Patrick’s Vineyard Chardonnay has a golden-amber hue with ripe pear, pineapple core and movie popcorn on the nose. The mouthfeel is round and full, expressing notes of pear, apple pie fillling, butterscotch and marzipan.

The 2021 Trésor opens with aromas of black currant, lardon, anise, and hints of burnt sugar and lavender. The palate is round, with upfront flavors of Santa Rosa plum and cedar, supported by evolving texture that leads to a strong, lingering finish.

The 2021 Willamette Valley Chradonnay is an elegant wine with beautiful, delicate aromas of stone fruit and lemon peel with soft hints of caramel and roasted almonds. The palate has a lively entry full of bright citrus that transitions into a creamy mid-palate with a touch of fresh baked bread. The finish is soft with a lingering minerality and notes of wet stone.
