This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. Our 2018 Gravel Bed Cabernet Sauvignon is a beautiful representation of Sonoma County Cab. Aromas of clove, leather, tobacco and cassis lead to savory tapanade and red fruit flavors on the palate, finishing with bright oak.

The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.

Our 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon offers aromas of toasted graham cracker, plum jam, butterscotch, and nutmeg. The wine has a fruit-forward entry, followed by dark berry cobbler and molasses, with well-balanced tannin and lifting acidity flowing through the long finish.

The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness.

The 2019 Henry Cabernet Sauvignon is chock-full of earthy, herbal characters, black fruit and highlights of ripe cherry. Medium-fine tannins add fullness, in a graceful, elegant style.

This wine opens with leather, cedar, plum jam, molasses, and mocha on the nose. The palate is juicy upfront with warm marionberry syrup and full, velvety tannins. Notes of butterscotch linger on the long, decadent finish.

Our 2021 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is an elegant expression of the very best of the varietal grown on our Alexander Valley estate. SOLO is an elegant and refined Cabernet Sauvignon. Aromas and flavors of red cherry, pomegranate, pie crust, and vanilla are supported by ample tannins and bright acidity. This is an ageworthy wine capable of elevating any special occasion or meal and will continue to evolve for years to come.

Napa Valley’s wine history is deeply rooted in the California Gold Rush (1848–1855) and the prosperity-seeking pioneers who settled around San Francisco. One such pioneer was California gold miner, saloonkeeper and grape-grower, Abel McFarland. In 1872, McFarland purchased land north of Napa along the Silverado trail and planted vineyards.

During prohibition, the property exchanged hands several times until 1968 when it was sold to Harry See (of See’s Candy fame) who named it Silverado Vineyard and planted Cabernet. The vineyard is situated in the area now known as Stags Leap District, legendary for its Cabernet.

Ten years later, Silverado purchased the site and extraordinary vineyard – which is where we source the grapes for our SOLO Cabernet. Each year we select distinctive blocks of a special field selection from this same vineyard and create a one-of-a-kind, single-vineyard Cabernet in Abel’s honor.

Bold, concentrated and richly layered, our 2021 Alexander Valley Reserve Red Wine opens with aromas of hazelnut, cinnamon, toffee, cranberry, and plum. The palate exhibits ample black cherry fruit flavors accented by baking spice, tobacco, black tea, and cocoa. Fresh tannins carry this wine through the extensive finish. This inky deliciousness Rickshaw Cabernet Sauvignon is a food friendly, Tuesday-night-in-front-of-the-tv kinda Cab. Unapologetically bold, undeniably California, and complex enough that you might even pause Netflix to talk about it. The 2021 vintage is fruity and inviting; with tasty flavors of raspberry, cherry pie, and hints of vanilla and cedar to add just enough intricacy. Full-bodied, structured, and a whole lot of texture on the palate. A long, toasted oak finish lingers with notes of red fruit and spice.

The 2018 Merus is a dark and powerful wine. Aromas of cassis and blackberry fill the nose, with undertones of vanilla bean, cedar and graphite. A full body and plush velvety tannins fill the mouth with deep flavors of saturated black fruits. Hints of vanilla and a fine grain oak texture from the 100% new French oak aging linger on the finish. Decant for one hour for maximum enjoyment.

The elegant tannin structure is complemented by abundant plum and blueberry flavors, with a complex finish consisting of espresso and black olive.
