Our 2021 Estate Russian River Valley Pinot Noir is silky with a balanced acidity and soft tannins. Aromas include wild strawberry, black cherry, cranberry-spice, and forest floor. Ripe cherry and pomegranate dominate the flavors, along with savory hints of mushroom, clove and baking spices.

The 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of four of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness.

The combination of dry farming and cool microclimate shows in the intensity of ruby color, pure flavors and seamless structure of the Hallberg Pinot Noir. The complex nose opens with juicy aromas of red fruit and berry confiture. The wine glides on the palate with luxurious texture and seamless balance, its vibrant acidity enhancing the intensity of fruit on the mid-palate.

Aromas of red fruits, tea leaf, hibiscus and caramel fill the nose upon opening our 2020 Handmade Merlot. The palate is juicy and filled with flavors of strawberry and sweet cherry with a fresh acidity. The French oak provides structure and hints of toasted spice, cigar box and vanilla. A viscous mouthfeel and smooth tannins linger on the elegant finish.

This 2014 bottling boasts deep, dark fruit aromas. A hint of something cool and distant, akin to marine air, opens up to reveal classic black currant and berry syrup aromas. The aromas carry through onto the silky and rich palate, which fills every corner of your mouth. the tannin, acid, and alcohol are in such balance that wine feels sweet, though it is bone dry. The 100% new oak provides structure and subtle vanilla hints on the finish. Decant for at least one hour in advance for maximum enjoyment.

The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness.

The 2021 Oz Zinfandel has a savory-sweet aromatic profile. Warm, roasted chestnuts, cherry pomegranate sauce, and rhubarb crisp entice the senses. The palate offers a smooth entry with flavors of English toffee, and spiced plum galette. This wine’s full, round mouthfeel makes it the perfect accompaniment to chicken molé, BBQ beef brisket, or a roasted beet salad with goat cheese and balsamic vinaigrette.

Our 2021 Grüner Veltliner shines throughout with complex minerality and notes of kiwi fruit and white peach. Aromatics of bright lemon-lime zest fill the glass. This wine is light and refreshing, making it a perfect complement for herbaceous meals, such as English pea shoot or yellow beet salad.

This wine is especially unique as we worked with Proprietor Carol Ann Foley to create her “perfect” Chardonnay – a fresh, round, fruit-forward, and balanced, yet lighter style with notes of Fuji apple, stone fruit, citrus zest and a slight mineralty. It finishes long with a beautifully balanced acidity.

The 2018 Cherryblock is a wine of great complexity, intricacy and sophistication. In the glass, the wine is deep purple with ruby highlights, and offers intense, concentrated aromas of cassis, tobacco and graphite. Flavors of black cherry fruit wash over the palate, with complex layers of cacao, cedar and tobacco. Full soft tannins complete the profile with lingering notes of herbs and spice. This wine is drinking well in its youth, but will improve over the next 10+ years.

The 2021 Founder's Block reflects 100% native yeast and is unfined and unfiltered. This “hands off” approach allows the grapes and vines to shine. After 15 months in 92% new French oak, the Founder’s Block Chardonnay exhibits a creamy richness, marked by ripe pear, baked apple, and baking spices, producing rounded layers and texture.

Rich and round with silky tannins and elegant acidity, which help to balance the ripe fruit qualities, which are characteristic of the 2017 vintage. Drinking well now, but could be set aside for up to 5-7 years to round out those still young tannins even more.

Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with layers of vanilla, spice, dark fruit and black tea. Dense and supple, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

Our 2021 Reserve Pinot Blanc is rich and complex with aromas of fresh apricot highlighted by hints of baked pear and citrus zest. The palate continues with flavors of stone fruits, melon and soft, creamy vanilla. The bright acidity and richness of this medium-bodied wine is complemented by an integrated and seamless mouthfeel.

This is a smooth and creamy wine made from our premium Chardonnay block on the estate. Stone fruit, candied toffee, ginger and toasted brioche waft from the glass. The palate is lush and full-bodied with light acidity. Enjoy this wine paired with rich seafood, poultry, creamy pastas and cheeses.

This 100% Chardonnay is a full-bodied wine with aromas of apple, peach, and Meyer lemon citrus. A vibrant and satisfying finish offers lingering minerality.

Upon opening, concentrated aromas of blackberry and dark plum fill the nose. The palate is full-bodied with flavors of dark cherry, boysenberry, and a hint of tobacco. Well-balanced and structured with lingering notes of toasted oak on the long finish.

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

PreVail West Face is a delicious, full-bodied wine with lush aromas and flavors of blackberry, plums, bacon, dried blueberries, cassis, milk chocolate, vanilla, and cedar with a touch of leather on the finish. Fleshy and full, this wine has exquisite depth and lingering, firm tannins providing textural proof of this wine’s age ability.

This 2015 Altvs is a delicious bottle of wine. Compared with Merus, it is more classically Cabernet Sauvignon, not as opulent but with great length and ageability. Buy several cases and drink them over the next 20 to 30 years.

Grapes for our Pinot Blanc were grown in Sonoma County's celebrated Alexander Valley whose fine alluvial soils are perfect for growing white grape varietals. Partially barrel fermented in French oak to impart a creamy and textured mouthfeel, the wine shows a rich balance of floral, apple and melon aromas which carry through on the palate.

PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins.

The Foley Sonoma Winemaker Series includes wines hand crafted and selected by the winemaker. Each wine in the series embodies a distinct representation of terroir which is illustrated by the hand painted watercolors depicted on our label. Our Alexander Valley estate vineyard is pictured here in red hues, demonstrating the warm weather and bold character to the area that is maintained in our Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon.

The Thorn Ridge can be summed up in one word: yummy. Pretty aromatics of shaded redwood grove, early fall and that first breeze when you know fall is right around the corner. An approachable Pinot Noir with soft, warm flavors of maraschino cherries, oatmeal blackberry muffins, a touch of Dr. Pepper and gummy coke bottles with a brambly, earthen finish and a hint of lemon-lime.

On the palate, the 2019 Foley Johnson Napa Valley Rose is bright with concentrated notes of red berry and lime. This wine is refreshing and crisp with balanced acidity lending itself to a delicious and long-lasting finish.

To create this incredible blend, the best barrels from our top Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec, and Petit Verdot blocks were selected. Our 2019 Patrick’s Vineyard Chardonnay opens with lush and elegant aromas of coconut cream, ripe pineapple and vanilla spice. The palate is well rounded with layered flavors of creamy butterscotch, tropical fruit, and toasted oak imparted from the sur lie aging. This is a full-bodied Chardonnay that is rich in texture with a smooth, lingering finish.

Beautifully balanced, sophisticated, and nuanced. Aromas of apple and pear followed by integrated oak notes. The palate is feminine in character, with delicate and elegant notes of apple, lemon meringue and a kiss of vanilla.

Petit Verdot has a reputation for its deep color and concentrated flavors and this wine is a testament to the varietal. Aromas of spicy roasted plum, Oolong tea and espresso lead to dense layers of dark fruit and hints of vanilla on the palate. This wine’s lush tannins and bold flavors will complement a variety of dark BBQ meats and heavy tomato-based sauces, such as Bolognese.

This wine boasts aromas of plum tart, espresso and boysenberry. The palate showcases flavors of juicy red fruit, rich espresso bean and a hint of pipe tobacco. Toasty oak and balanced acidity tie it all together nicely for a round finish.

Our 2021 Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representation of Alexander Valley’s bold fruit, with full-bodied and well-structured tannins. This wine opens with aromas of English toffee, mocha, anise, black cherry, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, boysenberry syrup and black forest cake are supported by age-worthy acidity and silky tannins. This wine will continue to age gracefully for 7-10 years.

Grown 100% on our Alexander Valley estate, our Samantha’s Sauvignon Blanc showcases the very best of the varietal and the AVA. On the nose, bright and floral aromas of citrus zest, melon and white flower draw you in. The palate offers elegant and layered flavors of white nectarine, grapefruit, mango and honeysuckle. The crisp acidity is balanced by a creaminess from the partial French oak aging, while a subtle mineral texture from the concrete egg aging lingers on the smooth finish.
