Our Rancho Santa Rosa Pinot Noir embodies the essence of the cool climate Sta. Rita Hills. Our 2018 opens with aromas of ripe fruit, dark boysenberry, pomegranate and ribbons of cherry. On the palate this pinot noir offers classic notes of black pepper, boysenberry, plum and dark cherry with a soft finish of dark cacao and pomegranate acidity. With moderate tannins, balanced acidity and lush fruit on the finish, this wine is perfect alongside cedar plank grilled salmon, pork tenderloin or BBQ pork ribs.

PreVail Back Forty entices with a delicious array of intense aromas and flavors including toffee, currants, leather, hints of nutmeg spice, caramel, vanilla, ripe plum, and toasty oak notes. This full-bodied wine has a long, rich finish and smooth, yet structured tannins.

Vibrant, bright and aromatic with notes of tropical fruit, green apple and citrus complemented by marzipan and honeysuckle. The wine is persistent on the palate and creamy on the finish. Hints of toast round out this beautiful, balanced wine.

Our 2019 Robert's Vineyard Pinot Noir offers quintessential Pinot Noir aromatics. Opening with plum, rhubarb, sweet beets and red cherry, the palate expands on those characters adding notes of strawberry, plum skin and leather to an earthy backbone. This wine is bright and supple with a solid tannin structure that will allow the wine to continue evolving in bottle for years to come.

PreVail West Face is a delicious, full-bodied wine with lush aromas and flavors of blackberry, plums, bacon, dried blueberries, cassis, milk chocolate, vanilla, and cedar with a touch of leather on the finish. Fleshy and full, this wine has exquisite depth and lingering, firm tannins providing textural proof of this wine’s age ability.

The 2019 vintage opens with terroir-driven aromatics of crème de cassis, black cherry, baked plum and all-spice. These aromas carry through to a palate that is well structured and full-bodied, with youthful yet firm tannins. A long echoing finish provides additional notes of dark fruit, earth and toasted oak. Our 2021 Grüner Veltliner shines throughout with complex minerality and notes of kiwi fruit and white peach. Aromatics of bright lemon-lime zest fill the glass. This wine is light and refreshing, making it a perfect complement for herbaceous meals, such as English pea shoot or yellow beet salad.

Aromas of ripe cherry, cola, dark currant and baking spices fill the senses, followed by vibrant flavors of juicy plum, black cherry and cardamom. A velvety texture and bright acidity distinguish this naturally-balanced wine.

Big and rich, with mouth-filling ripe red and black mountain and benchland fruits accented with black tea, cassis, black licorice, a touch of fennel, black olive and sweet blueberry fruit leather. Hints of cedar cigar box and tobacco sit alongside well-integrated tannins.

Our 2018 Estate Red opens with bold and intense aromas of black cherry, anise, tobacco leaf, leather and dark chocolate. The palate is rich and savory with layers of vanilla, spice, dark fruit and black tea. Dense and supple, the tannins are rounded by a balanced acidity and a long and smooth finish. Though appealing in its youth, this wine will also age beautifully over the next 15 years.

Our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal. Upon opening, striking aromas of black cherry and tobacco fill the nose and provide a gateway to the sophisticated palate. The palate is well balanced with succulent acidity, with flavors of fresh wild berries and subtle savory notes. Bold, round tannins and notes of toasted vanilla from the oak aging linger on the elegant finish.
