Opulent and fruit-forward New World style Zinfandel. The East Block produces powerhouse Zins, with highly pigmented skins and fully ripened fruit. Dark plum, rich boysenberry, and strawberry jam qualities are abundant.
Aromas of ripe strawberry and Bing cherry with a hint of vanilla carry through to the palate, where strawberry and cherry mingle with dried fig, bramble and subtle barrel spices. Well-balanced Zin with bright acidity and long finish.
Mulberry, blackberry and black pepper aromas dominate the nose followed by dark fruits and a hint of toasted oak on the palate. From a special vineyard tucked into a tiny canyon in northeast Paso Robles.
A distinct spice and cherry pie aroma immediately apparent. The palate is opulent with dark, ripe fruit spilling into every edge and tart cherry notes to help keep the wine from taking itself too seriously.
Opens with aromas of cherry liqueur, wild berry, chocolate and peppery spice. The strikingly broad palate has flavors of fresh dark berries that meld beautifully with savory herbaceous notes and sweet tannins.
