The 2021 Nicole’s Proprietary Red is a blend created from the best barrels of our estate’s finest vineyard blocks. The final composition consists primarily of Cabernet Sauvignon with a small amount of Merlot. The bouquet is powerful yet refined with floral notes, tobacco, and black pepper. On the palate this wine shows soft, supple tannins with flavors of stone fruit, dark cherry, and plum. Balanced by its acidity, polished tannins and exotic oak, the wine shows a beautiful juxtaposition with contrasting flavors that work well to deliver a long and lingering finish. Nicole’s should be decanted when young and should age for 20+ years.

Emelia’s Cuvée Chardonnay opens with mouthwatering aromas of baked apple, caramel popcorn, quince, fig, and nutmeg. The palate is rich and full with flavors of graham cracker, nectarine, ripe pear and notes of toffee through the finish.

The 2022 Willie Mae opens with aromas of fresh red raspberry and tart cherry jam. Our 2021 Winemaker Series Cabernet Sauvignon is a great representation of Alexander Valley’s bold fruit, with full-bodied and well-structured tannins. This wine opens with aromas of English toffee, mocha, anise, black cherry, and a hint of cedar. On the palate, boysenberry syrup and black forest cake are supported by age-worthy acidity and silky tannins. This wine will continue to age gracefully for 7-10 years.

This chardonnay has pretty floral aromatics and juicy tropical notes of lemongrass, pineapple, white peach, and a hint of soft sweet oak and caramel sauce. On the palate there is bright acidity and apple leading to a rounded, soft oak. This young wine has nice viscosity and a crisp finish.

This Chairman Series wine is made from our best Cabernet Sauvignon block on the estate. It is a bold wine with layers of graphite, blueberry compote, and cassis fruit on the nose. The fruit for this wine comes from our best block of Sauvignon Blanc on the estate. The musqué clone makes this a highly aromatic wine, showcasing a beautiful tropical bouquet upon opening. The 2022 Estate Pinot Noir reveals aromas of cherry, strawberry, leather, truffle, forest floor, plum, and cinnamon. The medium-bodied palate is a beautiful representation of the varietal and the Chalone AVA. Opulent flavors of plum, bright red cherries, and strawberry are complemented by notes of toasty oak, hints of vanilla and spices, and supported by medium acidity.

The 2021 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon captures the pure expression of our unique terroir at Lancaster Estate. It is a blend of the five of the red Bordeaux varietals we have planted on our volcanic hillside vineyards. The nose is rich with aromas of dark plum, tobacco and black pepper. The palate is deep and concentrated with flavors of black cherry, dark stone fruit, dried sage and a subtle earthiness. This wine should be decanted when young, and will only gain in complexity for the next 15-20 years.
