The nose of our 2017 "The Point" opens with layers of dense and ripe bramble fruit and progresses into notes of rich blackberry cobbler. As the nose continues to develop, further notes of graphite, black pepper, and olive leaf are framed by dark mocha and vanilla notes. The palate is dense and chewy with layers of velvety tannins, and carries a decadent juiciness which is supported by a firmly textured backbone. The finish is long and supple, and ends with a sensation of mouth coating cocoa powder.

The 2016 Kuleto Cab Franc opens with classic aromas of violet, cassis and tobacco followed a strong raspberry fragrance. On the palate, flavors of raspberry and dark cherry meld with fine, dusty tannins to give you a smooth oaky finish.

Our goal is to create a wine that is a balance of Old and New World in impression i.e., the fruit is deemphasized in the aroma, but the mouth is rich and flavorful without being too heavy. Our 2019 Merlot is a classic old-world style; loaded with spiced aromas. As the nose opens up hints of dark plum and black currant emerge. The palate is dominated by black cherry. Strong tannins and balanced acidity lead to a pleasant lingering finish. 

Wine lots and barrels selected for our ‘El Coyote’ Cabernet Sauvignon don’t necessarily come from a particular spot on the estate (la Vineyard Designate), but rather share common flavor and structural attributes that highlight the dark, meaty, rich, black fruit aspects of the variety. To further highlight these characters, we often co-ferment with varieties that share these same qualities.

We prize our estate Malbec for its ability to come to full flavor maturity on the vine without the high sugars and subsequent high alcohols often associated with mountain-top reds in the Napa Valley. It is all about exotic aromas and freshness on the palate. Our 2019 Malbec displays a rich red-purple color. Fragrant aromas of raspberry and plum fruits are complemented by hints of clove, tobacco, and chocolate. This is a medium bodied wine with soft tannins, balanced acidity, and notes of sweet oak on the palate.

The 2019 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon is a bold, yet balanced representation of the varietal and our unique mountaintop estate. It opens with aromas of sage, cherry compote, and blueberry. The palate offers boysenberry, spice and layers of depth with cherry and white pepper notes. The finish is long with plenty of grip.
