2022 Chalone Vineyard Estate Grenache, Chalone
The Chalone 2022 Grenache is defined by strawberry jam, hints of cinnamon, nutmeg, and clove spice. The palate is led by fruit-forward notes of raspberry and mulberry while still holding onto the savory minerality that is unique to Chalone Vineyard’s terroir. This is a lighter expression of Grenache with medium tannins and a pleasant oaky finish.

Established in 1919, Chalone Vineyard holds the distinction of being Monterey County’s oldest producing vineyard. Gaining international recognition by securing 3rd place for Chardonnay at the 1976 Judgement of Paris, Chalone continues to set the standard for Burgundian-style wines in California. Our commitment to excellence is deeply rooted in the unique limestone-based soils of our vineyard—one of the few in the U.S. to mirror the renowned terroir of Burgundy.
