The 2022 Handmade Rutherford Malbec is a full-bodied wine, showcasing the diverse characters of our Rutherford vineyard. On the nose, forest floor, leather, and clove are perfectly countered by black plum and blueberry  fruit aromas. The palate is plush and balanced with a compilation of Kirch liqueur and vanilla flavors giving way to bright acidity through the finish. This wine pairs nicely with herbcrusted pork tenderloin.

This wine is classic yet offers a special decadence. The nose sparks interest with tomato leaf and olive tapenade over classic cinnamon, dark cherry, and chocolate aromas. The 2021 Handmade Malbec opens with a beautiful medley of plum, strawberry, dark cherry, chocolate, cedar, and blueberry aromas. The palate offers a bright, fruit-driven entry, showcasing anise and raspberry flavors over structured tannins, finishing long and smooth. Enjoy with gouda cheese, beef empanadas, or pork tenderloin. Proper cellaring will allow this wine to continue to evolve for the next 10-15 years.

Our Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful expression of the classic Bordeaux varietal. The nose exhibits aromas of blackberry, raspberry, caramelized sugar, barrel spice and a hint of tobacco leaf. These aromas carry through to the palate, with additional notes of dusty cocoa, vanilla, and dried sage. Firm yet smooth tannins are present on the lingering finish.

The 2023 Handmade Rutherford Malbec is bursting with pronounced aromas of black plum, crushed purple rose, bright strawberry, fresh sage, clove, and warm loam soil. This is a full-bodied, elegant wine. Blueberry pie and black cherry liqueur flow across the palate, supported by silky tannins. Pair with ground beef empanadas with chimichurri sauce or braised pork shank. 

Petit Verdot is known for its saturated color and bold phenolics, and this wine is an excellent representation of that. After decanting, dynamic characters come to life - the nose is bold with toasted oak, plum, vanilla, and cigar box, with accents of black pepper. Named for late winemaker Patrick (Pat) Foley, this wine was crafted to embody his bold character, fun-loving personality and relentless spirit. Upon opening, aromas of bright red cherry and raspberry integrate with licorice, black pepper and woody spice. The rich mouthfeel suggests plum and blackberry pie with notes of vanilla and tobacco. This wine finishes with excellent structure and is expected to evolve in bottle for the next 12 to 15 years with proper cellaring.

Our 2021 Handmade Petit Verdot is dark and inky in the glass, opening with aromas of dark cherry, sage, violet, caramel, and forest floor. Bold and full on the palate, this wine has layered flavors of red cherry, plum compote, and cedar. The 48% new French oak aging softens the bold tannins and provides lingering notes of creamy vanilla and roasted coffee beans on the finish.
