Historic and Stunning California Icon – Monterey County’s First Winery. The Chalone Estate Vineyard is one of the most remarkable winery properties in California. The vineyard was planted in 1919, with the production under the Chalone Vineyard brand beginning in 1960. Chalone wines speak to the unique terroir of this wild, isolated mountain plateau in Monterey County, located adjacent to the Pinnacles National Monument. As the sole winery within the Chalone American Viticultural Area, Chalone Vineyard makes wines that reflect the distinctive minerality of this area’s granitic and limestone soils, as well as the beautiful balance between ripe fruit character and bright acidity from the cool, windswept climate.

Our 2020 Reserve Chardonnay is an opulent, satisfying chardonnay in the true California style. Scents of ripe apple carry through on the thickly viscous and mouthwatering palate. A crisp lemongrass acidity leads to a mineral-lifted finish.
Bright with acidity that supports mouthwatering flavors of Meyer lemon, nectarine and white peach. The lingering minerality accented by floral aromas provides a vibrant and satisfying finish.
This wine is filled with bright flavors and captivating minerality. The palate diaplays citrus followed by flavors of wet rock, cantaloupe and peach. This wine has balanced acidity and flavors of toasted oak on the lingering finish.

Fermented in Stainless Steel with two strains of yeast, and aged in French Oak. A wine yielding aromas and flavors of nectarine, apple, and orange zest supported by a backbone of wet rock minerality.
The 2021 Chalone Vineyard Estate Chenin Blanc shows off a delightful blend of honeysuckle, lemon meringue, honeydew melon and pear with a wet stone minerality.
