2019 Swanson Vineyards Alexis Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley

Striking in appearance, with a dark ruby color, this vintage of Alexis is immediately seductive. On the nose, ripe red fruits mingle with cocoa, plum and a touch of vanilla. Robust tannins fill out the palate making this a candidate for long term aging. The palate flavors are dark fruits, slight wet clay note, some espresso bean and a touch of dark chocolate. All this is held together within a firm acidity, retaining freshness and structure.
