We had a snowy start to the 2019 growing season and a wet spring without much frost pressure. The weather improved in June and continued with a nice, warm summer. We picked the vineyards for this blend September 20 – 27, right around when this short yet impressive harvest came to a close. Higher acidities and lower alcohols are to be expected with our wines for this vintage that are showing tremendous age-ability which is something harder to achieve in a hotter vintage.
