2019 Lancaster Samantha's Sauvignon Blanc, Alexander Valley
Opening with a floral nose, our 2019 offers a dynamic palate of citrus and stone fruit. Partial concrete aging adds an elegant texture and mineral character.The bright acidity is balanced by additional creaminess and complexity from the minimal oak influence coupled with a clean minerality that lingers on the smooth finish.
100% Sauvignon Blanc
Samantha’s Sauvignon Blanc was barrel fermented in our wine caves using 100% native yeast. The wine was them aged eight months sur lie in 32% French oak (25% new, 75% neutral) to add creaminess and aging potential. The balance saw 32% stainless steel, and 36% concrete egg which allows for constant circulation of the juice and imparts minerality and texture to the wine. Our Sauvignon Blanc was then bottled unfiltered in April 2020.
