2019 Foley Sonoma Rosé of Pinot, Russian River Valley
Winemaker Notes
With this special Rosé, we love to showcase the beautiful bright acidity of the Redwood Block vineyard and a touch of the elegant, fresh Alexander Valley Grenache. For our 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir, we decided to pick some portions of the block earlier than others, which allowed the longer hanging fruit to develop the deeper cherry,
strawberry and raspberry notes found in this wine.
The watercolor artwork on our label illustrates the special sense of place of this Russian River Valley vineyard.

Production Notes
Our 2019 Rosé of Pinot Noir comes from a hillside block known as "Redwood Block" from our family's Russian River Valley vineyard. This beautiful block is shielded from the sun by massive Redwood trees, which ensures that the fruit never gets sunburned, and preserves the grape's natural acidity. 15% of the blend is Grenache which comes from our neighbor, the Sceals family. This vineyard is between 65 -70 years old, in the north side of the Alexander Valley. Once the fruit was harvested, it was fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve vibrant fruit notes.
