At the heart of this wine is the love of pairing an honest wine with casual meals and gatherings. Acrobat should always be an effortless selection – a wine that consistently pairs in every way with our lives.

The 2019 vintage is a brilliant example of Pinot Noir from a consistent and warmer than average Western Oregon growing season. In the glass, there is a garnet-colored center with bright ruby edges. The nose has rich, fruit-forward aromas of bright Bing cherry and raspberries, with hints of hazelnuts. The palate echoes with ripe strawberries and dark chocolate up front, followed by earthy and spicy notes of forest floor and clove.

90 points, Wine Enthusiast “This Pinot is fragrant and spicy, with ripe berry fruit. There’s an earthy stiffness that comes up with the tannins. That said, the balance overall works and the wine, though chewy, will knock it out of the park with salmon. (Editors’ Choice)” -P.G.

Production Notes

Destemmed, cold-soaked, punched down and pumped over, the 2019 vintage underwent malolactic fermentation in stainless steel tanks before being aged for 8 months in 25% new French oak.

Vineyard Notes

The 2019 vintage had a growing season that started out warmer than usual moderating through mid-vintage with fewer than average heat spikes and was noted for it's cool and wet weather in late September. This pinot noir was harvested in mid-September before the rains and attained that combination of balance that winemakers pursue: flavor at lower alcohol percentages. 2019 can be described as a return to the classic Oregon vintage, with modest alcohol, bright acidity and longevity.
