2018 The Four Graces Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley
90 Points - Wine Spectator
The 2018 Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby hue in the glass. Pleasant aromas of raspberry, Bing cherry and hints of earthy forest floor and chanterelle mushrooms mingle. The palate exudes bright red fruit flavors of cherry and cranberry which are complemented by a focused mid palate of black pepper and light roasted coffee beans. The finish crisp with a perfectly balanced acidity.

Foley Family Estate, Doe Ridge and other select sites. The fruit for this wine was sourced from the Foley Family Estate, Doe Ridge and select sites throughout the Willamette Valley AVA. The Foley Family Estate Vineyard encompasses 110 acres nestled in the Red Hills of Dundee. The Doe Ridge Estate, purchased and developed in 2005, is a 90-acre site and considered one of the most innovative new vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Additional fruit from Erratic Oaks, Hyland and Prince Hill make up the final blend. The 2018 vintage started with a relatively mild spring with average rain fall. What was surprising was the lack of rain in the early summer. 2018 happened to be one of the driest summers on record in the Dundee Hills AVA and the Willamette Valley. Fortunately, although we were drier than normal, temperatures stayed modest. As we came into fall and time to harvest the dry conditions continued and we were able to pick the Pinot Noir when we wanted to.
