2018 Firestone Vineyard Malbec, Santa Ynez Valley
The 2018 Malbec opens with aromas of spiced plum, fresh-ground white pepper, tobacco and toasted brioche. On the palate, roasted red fruit and premium oak are complemented by balanced acidity and a rewarding finish.
The 2018 vintage began with early bud break followed by an extremely mild spring and summer season, perfect conditions for longer hang time and more intense flavor development. Our harvest kicked off with our first pick on September 18th and extended to November 7th. All of our fruit is harvested in cool temperatures to ensure cold fruit at pressing.
