2018 El Pino Club The Cusp Pinot Noir, Russian River Valley
90 Points - Wine Spectator
Winemaker Notes
Introducing The Cusp Pinot Noir: it opens with a complex perfume
of clove spice, cherry, raspberry, tobacco leaf and chocolate. On the
palate, luscious black cherry and notes of cranberry flow with supple
texture and integrated tannins into a smooth, lingering finish. Swirl,
sniff, swallow, and repeat.

Production Notes
The 2018 growing season was one of the most consistent in recent
memory. Mild spring weather led to prime fruit set and ideal growing
conditions to set the stage for producing the perfect Pinot Noir. The
temperate weather allowed for an extended hang-time and fully
balanced ripening.
Vineyard Notes
Our 45 acre Trenton Road Vineyard is located in the Russian River
Valley AVA of Sonoma County. Planted to a variety of Pinot Noir
clones including Pommard, 37 and Swan, this vineyard is ideally
situated to benefit from morning fog and afternoon sunshine.
Grapes were harvested on September 28, 2018.
