2018 Chalk Hill Malbec, Chalk Hill AVA
Please Contact Tasting Room For Availability
Our 2018 Malbec is a powerful wine in its own right with a dense and silky texture. Powerful aromatics of cherry, violet, dried thyme, and roasted espresso lead into a palate that is filled with flavors of blueberries, cherries, leather, vanilla, and espresso. Truly a savory, dense and balanced wine, the big and bold tannins make this a perfect pairing with a roasted pork loin. This Malbec will age beautifully over the next 6-8 years.
Winemaker Notes
The 2018 growing season was one of the most consistent in recent memory. Mild spring weather led to prime fruit set and ideal growing conditions.

Vineyard Notes
Our 2018 Malbec came from two blocks at our 56-acre Estate West vineyard located on a contiguous piece of property just across Chalk Hill Road from the winery. These west-facing sites feature clay, rock and loam soils that are perfect for Malbec.
