Winemaker Notes
Pale straw in color, the 2018 Acrobat Pinot Gris shines through with
bright, crsip flavors. Rose petal elements on the nose highlight aromas of
Asian pear and ripe cantaloupe. Following the nose are flavors of fresh
pear and Fuji apple. These mingle on the mid-palate, rounding out a
medium bodied mouthfeel with a refreshing, bright finish.

Production Notes
The 2018 vintage was fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks, which were
temperature controlled to maximize fruit character. This wine benefitted
from sur lie aging for four months prior to bottling.
Vineyard Notes
The 2018 vintage started with a mild winter and a relatively cool spring.
Budbreak was delayed until mid-April, a week later than average. Oregon
experienced mild temperatures during spring and summer which led to
less heat accumulation than the previous four vintages. What was
surprising was the lack of rain in the early summer. 2018 happened to be
one of the driest summers on record and some vineyards experienced
drought stress. The harvest season in September and October was near
ideal, as the climate remained mild and relatively dry — allowing us to
harvest this Pinot Gris at peak maturity.
