2017 Three Rivers Rosé, Columbia Valley
Our 2017 Columbia Valley Rosé is vibrant, fresh and captivating. Fragrant aromas of pink grapefruit, guava and wild strawberry emerge at the first pour. Flavors of juicy citrus and tropical fruit dance on the palate, followed by a dry, crisp finish.
70% Syrah, 27% Sangiovese, 3% Riesling

The grapes used in our 2017 Rosé were destemmed and very gently pressed immediately upon arrival at the winery. The color was only extracted during the short pressing process. The juice was racked off of solids before being inoculated with two different Rosé specific yeasts. We chose to barrel ferment a small portion of the Rosé to add to it's mouthfeel and complexity.
Gamache Syrah, Columbia Valley 70%, Rosebud Sangiovese, Wahluke Slope 27%, Bacchus Riesling, Columbia Valley 3%. 2017 started on the same track as 2016: bud break occurred a bit ahead of normal and was followed by a hot summer. The warm summer months led to cooler conditions in September and October. This resulted in a bright, aromatic Rosé. We picked the grapes for the Rosé September 12th through the 25th.
