2017 Firestone Vineyard Reserve Syrah, Santa Ynez Valley
Dark, dense and delicious, this Syrah has flavors of blackberry, currant, and white pepper. Its balanced tannins, integrated oak and nice acidity make for a great pairing with strong, salty cheese or your next Santa Maria BBQ gathering.
Winemaker Notes
The 2017 vintage began with an early bud break followed by an extremely mild spring and summer season, perfect conditions for longer hang time and more intense flavor development. Harvest kicked off with our first pick on August 31 and extended to October 27th. All of our fruit is harvested in cool temperatures to ensure cold fruit at pressing.
