2016 Three Rivers Trivulet, Columbia Valley
Winemaker Notes
2016 was such a great vintage for us I wanted to find a new way to
show it off. We created an “Old World” blend named Trivulet.
Inspired by the great old world wines of the right bank, our blend
is 51% Cabernet Franc and 49% Merlot. These noble varietals
marry so well no wonder this combo has been considered to be
one of the best in the world. The aromatics are a luxurious blend
of blueberry compote mixed with fresh strawberries and a hint of
violets. On the palate vibrant fresh fruit flavors are accented with
hints of stone fruit that lead into a balanced and lengthy finish.

Production Notes
2016 started out with above average temperatures reaching record
heat in April. This jumpstarted our growing season and resulted
in an earlier bloom than in 2015. Cooler June and July months
slowed things down, allowing us to catch up in the vineyard.
Temperatures heated back up in August and the grapes were
harvested from September 12 – September 20, 2016.
