2016 The Four Graces Courtney's Reserve Pinot Noir, Yamhil-Carlton
Our 2016 Courtney’s Reserve Pinot Noir shows beautiful fruit and herb aromatics on the first approach. Marionberry and sage mingle on the nose with a hint of vanilla leading you into the palate. Notes of soft dark plumb and a hint of earthy clove mingle and develop further with each sip. The finish shows elegant tannins and a perfect acidity that lingers on the palate.
100% Pinot Noir
September 16th – September 19th, 2016
16 months in 30% new French oak
The 2016 vintage was defined by its early start, moderate temperatures and overall high quality. The season began with a warmer than average winter which led to an early spring and bud break. Temperatures remained warm yet moderate in the summer months, with no extreme heat spikes. These conditions allowed for even ripening, balanced vines and opulent flavor development. The fruit had smaller berry size and moderate yields, with harvest occurring from September 16th – September 19th, 2016.
The Doe Ridge Estate, purchased and developed in 2005, is a 90-acre site and considered one of the most innovative new vineyards in the Willamette Valley. Sourced from Doe Ridge Estate Vineyard in Oregon’s Yamhill- Carlton District, this Pinot Noir benefits from vine age and sustainable farming.
