2016 Roth Sauvignon Blanc, Sonoma County
Gold Medal Winner - Sunset International Wine Competition, June 2017
100% Sauvignon Blanc
August 31 - September 3, 2016
100% Stainless Steel
The 2016 vintage in Sonoma County was marked by high quality fruit and an earlier than average harvest. The majority of fruit was sourced from vineyards in the Chalk Hill AVA and Dry Creek Valley within Sonoma County. An early start to the growing season was followed by warm temperatures throughout the spring and summer. The grapes from this vintage were of high quality and quantity with a balanced acidity. We harvested the fruit from August 31 - September 3, 2016 and then fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks to retain aromatics.
Roth Estate is committed to making wines with the truest and best expression of the diverse and idyllic growing conditions in Sonoma County. Our 2016 Sonoma County Sauvignon Blanc is well-integrated with a vivid acidity that makes it perfect for pairing with a variety of foods. Zesty aromas of tropical fruits and lime set the stage for a refreshing and lush wine. It lingers on the palate with vibrant flavors of grapefruit, mango and lime zest to deliver a fresh mouthfeel with a well-balanced finish.
