Heritage is a red blend which celebrates the perseverant and relentless spirit of our forefathers. This wine is a tribute to our proud heritage and commemorates the many bold journeys that shaped our great country.

90 Points Robert Parker - The 2016 Heritage red blend has a medium to deep ruby color and a nose of crème de cassis, chocolate-covered blueberries, black cherry jam, vanilla and nutmeg with notions of herbs and pencil lead. The palate is medium to full-bodied with good intensity and youthful fruit character. It has a firm frame and just enough freshness, finishing long.
Double Gold Medal Winner - San Francisco Chronicle Wine Competition 2019

Winemaker Notes

The 2016 Heritage Red is a bold blend of some of our favorite regions throughout the south-eastern parts of Sonoma County. Deep ruby in color, this wine offers luscious aromas of boysenberry, cocoa dust and a hint of black pepper. On the palate, bold tannins are balanced by decadent flavors of blackberry, blueberry and white chocolate with hints of vanilla and toasted oak.

25% Syrah, 18% Cabernet Sauvignon, 16% Malbec, 8% Zinfandel, 8% Petit Verdot, 15% Merlot, 10% Petite Sirah

Production Notes

The 2016 vintage in Sonoma County was marked by high quality fruit and an earlier than average harvest. An early start to the growing season was followed by warm temperatures throughout the spring and summer. The grapes from this vintage were of high quality and quantity with a balanced acidity. We harvested the fruit from September 12 - October 2, 2016.
