2016 Lancaster Reserve Sauvignon Blanc, Alexander Valley
This 2016 Reserve Sauvignon Blanc showcases the best of our Sauvignon Blanc in any given vintage. Aged in 100% cement egg, it has gorgeous aromas of floral and citrus. The palate is delicate and nuanced with flavors of stone fruit and fresh rain balanced by a bright acidity. The flavors on the palate are complemented by a clean minerality that lingers on the finish.

8 months in cement egg
The Reserve Sauvignon Blanc was barrel fermented in our wine caves using 100% native yeast. The wine was then aged eight months in cement egg. Our Reserve Sauvignon Blanc was bottled unfiltered in April 2017.
The 2016 growing season brought fruit of exceptional quality and concentration. We had sufficient rainfall in the winter to help alleviate dryer than average conditions in recent years. Temperatures were moderate with some minor heat spikes in June and July; however, a cooling off period in August led to ideal conditions at harvest. The wines from this vintage have great uniformity, concentration and outstanding balance
