2016 The Four Graces Gran Moraine Chardonnay, Yamhill-Carlton
Winemaker Notes
As the sole Chardonnay produced at our winery, the Gran Moraine Chardonnay
is bright, fruit forward and elegant. Each swirl of the 2016 Gran Moraine
Chardonnay releases aromas of Asian pear, honeysuckle and Meyer lemon.
The aroma is followed by well integrated flavors of lemon curd and kiwi with
a finish of crème fraiche and lemon meringue. This is a full bodied, balanced
Chardonnay with a vibrant finish.

Production Notes
The 2016 vintage was defined by its early start, moderate temperatures and
overall high quality. The season began with a warmer than average winter
which led to an early spring and bud break. Temperatures remained warm yet
moderate in the summer months with no extreme heat spikes. These conditions
allowed for even ripening, balanced vines and opulent flavor development. The
early start to the growing season and consistently warm summer led to one of
the earliest harvests on record. The fruit had smaller berry size and moderate
yields, with harvest occurring on September 12th, 2016.
Vineyard Notes
