2015 Three Rivers Riesling, Columbia Valley
All of the fruit for our 2015 Riesling came from the Bacchus Vineyard located near Pasco, WA on southwest-facing hillsides above the Columbia River. After harvest, the grapes were whole-cluster pressed and the juice was allowed to settle at 50F before racking off the solids. We inoculated with a Riesling-specific yeast and fermented the juice at a relatively cool temperature. Fermentation was stopped to soften the wine’s crisp acidity. Our 2015 is incredibly bright with aromas of white peach, apricot, and lychee fruit. The mid-palate is full of juicy stone fruit flavors and finishes with a bit of spiciness. This Riesling is off-dry and is a perfect wine to brighten your day.

2015 was the earliest wine grape harvest we have ever had due to the above average warm weather throughout the year! The Riesling grapes were hand harvested on August 31, 2015. The fruit quality is spectacular from this very warm vintage.
