The 2015 Smokey Ridge Vineyard Zinfandel is a unique expression of the famed Dry Creek Valley growing region. The name alludes to the morning fog that covers the vineyard site. Dark and alluring flavors of crushed black fruit and a hint of spice fill the palate. The full bodied mouthfeel is accented with soft tannins and a lingering finish. The 2015 vintage in Dry Creek Valley was exceptional in quality with an earlier than average harvest. The season began with a relatively early start and progressed with consistently dry, warm days throughout spring and summer. This allowed for even ripening and complex flavor development. The fruit was brought into the winery on August 26 - 27, 2015.
