Vineyard Notes
The Trenton Road Vineyard is situated in the center of the acclaimed Russian River Valley AVA of Sonoma County. With 48 acres planted to vine, it is surrounded by beautiful redwood groves, sloping hillsides, and the nearby Russian River. Known for its cool, foggy climate that sweeps in from the Pacific Ocean and alluvial soils, it is an idyllic site for growing Pinot Noir. The 2015 vintage was marked by consistently moderate to warm temperatures throughout the spring and summer. Similar to prior years, it was a very mild and moderate growing season with little rain. Yields were lower than the year prior but the grapes delivered wines of complexity and elegance. We harvested the fruit in the cool morning hours of September 11 – 12, 2015.
