2015 Langtry Night Marsanne, Guenoc Valley
Marsanne is a white varietal that hails from the Rhone Valley of France. Our inaugural 2014 Night Marsanne exemplifies aromas and flavors characteristic of the varietal with notes of honeysuckle, apple blossom, and vanilla. On the palate, this wine has a smooth entry with lively and balanced acidity. Citrus blossom and floral notes linger with a nice minerality and oak influence that melds together for a long, pleasant finish.
Food Pairing Notes
FRESH MELON SALAD. Pair with 2015 Guenoc Valley 'Night' Marsanne. This rich wine is bursting with honeysuckle, jasmine & white peach on the forefront leading to tinges of melon, honey and Gala Apple. It pairs wonderfully with a Fresh Melon Salad with Melon Water, Bulgarian Feta and Genovese Basil. The textural components of the Marsanne are well matched by the citrus, stone fruit and herbal lift of the salad. The Melon adds a refreshing element and the Feta contributes a touch of richness to the finish! - Robert Smith, Master Sommelier
