2015 Firestone Vineyard Cabernet Franc, Santa Ynez Valley
Garnet in color, this 2015 Cabernet Franc leads with mouthwatering aromas of cedar and dark red fruits. Powerful flavors of Rainer cherries and wild blackberries dominate the palate, with nuances of forest floor and sandalwood. The firm tannin structure and bright acidity comes full circle with hints of vanilla and oak for a soft, elegant finish.

Santa Ynez Valley
20 months in French, American and Hungarian oak, 25% new
The 2015 vintage had the warmest temperatures and least amount of rainfall in the winery’s history. Despite the lack of rainfall, the timing of the growth of the vines was perfect. Bud break began in the last week of February, and there were very few incidents of frost which led to a slightly earlier bloom. June was sunny and warm followed by warmer than average July and August months.
The Santa Ynez Valley is located just two hours north of Los Angeles and five hours south of San Francisco, adjacent the cold Pacific Ocean. With the greatest concentration of wineries in Santa Barbara County - roughly 18% of its total land planted to vineyards - it is among the favorite weekend destinations for wine aficionados in the Central Coast region.
