2015 Eos Chardonnay, Central Coast
Fruit for our 2015 Chardonnay was selected from premier vineyard sites throughout the Central Coast. The delicate aromas of bright red apple, sweet melon and a hint of citrus are a welcomed beginning to this wine. The palate displays notes of smooth lemon custard and pineapple that are accented by a light touch of toast which adds depth and character.
Food Pairing Notes
This chardonnay would pair well with lemon-herbed grilled chicken.

2015 was another dry year in the Central Coast. An extremely mild winter led to an early bud break. There were very few frost days as our warm and mild weather defined the rest of the growing season. The fruit was harvested during September through October which was a couple weeks ahead of schedule; however, quality was high across the board.
The Central Coast AVA is one of the largest and most important grape growing regions in California. Its boundaries stretch from Santa Barbara County in the south all the way up to San Francisco in the north. The geographical diversity of the region yields a plethora of distinct microclimates and affords winegrowers the unique ability to produce a staggering number of grape varietals.
