2015 Chalk Hill Chairman's Malbec, Chalk Hill AVA
2015 was another prime vintage with moderate temperatures throughout the spring and summer. We brought in a bountiful crop of very tasty fruit. Of all the Bordeaux varieties, Malbec is surely the most generous and hedonistic. Our 2015 Malbec is an intense deep purple color with aromas of black cherry, roasted espresso, dried herbs and cracked pepper. Its flavors are just as powerful with savory notes of dried herbs, cherry, violet, and a gamey character on the finish. It is nicely balanced with a silky texture on the finish making it a big, and delectable wine that will age well over the next 5-7 years.
