2014 Chalk Hill Chairman's Club Cabernet Sauvignon, Chalk Hill AVA
93 Points - Wine Spectator
2014 was a prime year, giving us wines of both finesse and concentration. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon is a wonderful representation of our estate vineyards. Its compelling aromas of plum, black current, dark chocolate dried herbs and vanilla set the stage for equally compelling flavors and a rich, textured mouthfeel. Its layered tannins create a tight structure with notes of earthy dark fruits, cedar, dried herbs and vanilla bean. This wine shows surprisingly well in its youth which makes for a great aging potential.

Our 1300+-acre property is located at the convergence of a number of diverse climates, soils and terrains in the northeastern hills of Sonoma County. The fruit for our 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon comes from selected blocks on our 56-acre Estate West vineyard located on a contiguous piece of property just across Chalk Hill Road. This warm, protected site features rocky, porous volcanic soils that are ideal for red Bordeaux varieties.
