2013 Langtry Sauvignon Blanc, Lillie Vineyard, Guenoc Valley AVA
Awards
Gold Medal Winner - Lake County Wine Awards.
Winemaker Notes
This 2013 displays crisp aromas of grapefruit and
citrus peel that lead to flavors of lemon curd and citrus on the palate.
A lively acidity is balanced with a full mouth-feel and vibrant intensity
that lingers on the finish.

Production Notes
Partially barrel fermented in 8-year-old neutral oak barrels, the 2013
Langtry “Lillie’s Vineyard” Sauvignon Blanc is made in our sur lie style
for added texture and complexity. The grapes from the Lillie Vineyard
demonstrate Sauvignon Blanc’s full potential due to the mild summer
temperatures that helped keep acids high while still bringing the fruit
to full maturity.
Vineyard Notes
Like its namesake, Lillie’s Sauvignon Blanc is unique. Located west of
the Langtry House, the five acre vineyard is unlike most Sauvignon
Blanc plantings. Its restrictive, shallow, magnesium-laced soils
produce small vines, leaves and berries, and thus, modest yields for a
vigorous variety. The fruit is concentrated and very complex.
