2013 Langtry Petite Sirah, Serpentine Meadow Vineyard, Guenoc Valley
93 Points - Wine Enthusiast
This 2013 Petite Sirah predominates with notes of blackberry, cranberry and dark cherry, enriched by spicy notes of clove, white pepper and vanilla-caramel on the nose. The palate bursts with dark berry fruits enhanced by rich, full tannins with subtle undertones of leather and a crisp acidity. The finish is long and polished with sweet tobacco and vanilla oak which will surely have you reaching for a second glass!
100% Petite Sirah
2 years, 2 months in French and American Oak Barrels (100% new)
This five acre block takes its name from solidified magma, high in magnesium content, fractured to form the devigorating soils found here. Long a source of remarkable Petite Sirah, this moderately dense planting creates small vines, clusters and berries that are deeply hued and offer lovely blackberry flavors, unusually polished tannins and exquisite balance.
