The 2016 Clara’s Red provides aromas of fine leather, rich cocoa nib and toasted vanilla. Composed of Cabernet Sauvignon, Malbec and Petit Verdot, this wine features a blackberry hue, and dense berry flavors with a tinge of clove.
The nose has rich, fruit-forward aromas like ripe cherries and strawberry pie, with hints of cinnamon, vanilla and mocha. The palate echoes with ripe strawberries and dark chocolate up front, followed by earthy and spicy notes of forest floor and clove.
Generous aromas of red apple, apricot, and candied lemon layer with fragrances of graham cracker and sourdough bread. Lush flavors of cantaloupe, peach, and a hint of vanilla and marzipan. Crisp acidity with a floral, honeyed finish.
