Historic and Stunning California Icon – Monterey County’s First Winery. The Chalone Estate Vineyard is one of the most remarkable winery properties in California. The vineyard was planted in 1919, with the production under the Chalone Vineyard brand beginning in 1960. Chalone wines speak to the unique terroir of this wild, isolated mountain plateau in Monterey County, located adjacent to the Pinnacles National Monument. As the sole winery within the Chalone American Viticultural Area, Chalone Vineyard makes wines that reflect the distinctive minerality of this area’s granitic and limestone soils, as well as the beautiful balance between ripe fruit character and bright acidity from the cool, windswept climate.
Chalone All Wines
Originally planted in 1919, this wine captures both the terroir and long history of Chalone Vineyard. Our 100% Chenin Blanc is a delightful blend of apple, tangerine, nutmeg and pear with a wet-rock minerality.
Dances on the palate with a touch of minerality followed by juicy fruit flavors. Expressive aromatics of Bosch pear, nectarine and a hint of luscious peach emerge. This refreshing quaffer finishes with delightful notes of orange zest.
Distinctive minerality, unctuous texture and ageability. Complex nuances of toasted hazelnut and wet stone minerality mingle with an intriguing note of freshly washed linens drying in the sun.

Composed of the very best barrels and available in very limited quantities. Expressive aromas of raspberry pie complemented by notes of brown sugar and a hint of minerality. An elegant and refined 100% Pinot Noir.

Fermented in Stainless Steel with two strains of yeast, and aged in French Oak. A wine yielding aromas and flavors of nectarine, apple, and orange zest supported by a backbone of wet rock minerality.
Stunning aromas of lemon-lime and floral emerge. The palate is initially greeted with citrus followed by evolving flavors of wet rock, cantaloupe and peach. Impressive concentration with balanced acidity.
Ample and rich body. Aromas of coffee, raisins and cassis lead into the mouthwatering palate. Layers of dark fruits such as dance on the palate leading into a lingering finish.
